On the Guitar the frets would have to be re honed as well
ОтветитьThey make snakes that are 100 ft long and more that hold 16 channels or more they could have used a snake, which is a chord holding all the mike cables plus the speaker cables.. If the mikes are low impedance you can run the cables as far as you want without losing signal.
ОтветитьI played in bands during the 70s and 80s we smoked and left smokes laying around as well as beer cans and we stuck are smokes on the strings of the headstock of our guitars and have also smoked in the studio depending on the quality of the studio and the preferences of the engineer. There were times in live playing where someone spilled a beer in the sound board and ruined it. I ran sound for a band at a club in 1979 where I was constantly getting angry at stage hands who kept putting drinks on the pa equipment. It was a crazy time and there were many people involved at that time who had little to no experience at being around music equipment in othe rwords it was common place at that time. I remember many times where guitars got broken in one way or another. There were always people around who were drinking and getting high so I am not at all surprised that it was going on in the 60s.
ОтветитьOne more thing I see is Billy's eyes look brown in this movie but his eyes are green are they not ?
Ответить'It's really great stuff'.... That should read 'It's the very definition of ennui'. The creative process?? Too funny...
ОтветитьHey show biz , Quote John Lennon, pretty much sums it up Mike. Your the man .

And to top Billy's career off, he's headlining Glastonbury Festival (Pyramid Stage) on Saturday 25th June 2022. Interesting...as he will also have just turned 80 years old!
ОтветитьMike you need to turn your volume up we can't hear you on cell phones
ОтветитьAbout the discussion you are having at about 3h:40'
I have met several lefty guitar players who play with the high E on the top and the low E on the bottom (just as if it was a right handed guitar, but flipped!) And one of them in particular is very very proficient, something really out of the ordinary. Dick Dale is a famous example of a guitarist that plays like that.
I have also once restringed a lefty guitar so that i could play it right handed (a Tele 1960 reissue) , it played ok without any adjustments to the nut / bridge (yeah I know it's not ideal but it worked)
Not that this has much impact on the general discussion!
Thanks for your GREAT work
Linda Eastman had a lot of freckles on her face (nose & cheeks). In the scenes she's in, she looks too good for even having makeup applied by a makeup artist. In my opinion, her complexion was all Peter Jackson's CGI...
Note: I commented below while watching your broadcast Mike. From studying & watching how studio work is usually done. The use of session musicians &/or adding studio ''over-dubs''....
Phil Spector (probably) used session musicians in order to finish the LIB Album. Especially if the other songs were anything like we watched & listened to Before the 5 from the Rooftop Performance (lol Performance).... Bits & Pieces were all we heard. In fact they should have called the Let It Be documentary, ''Bits-And-Pieces''........
In fact the whole LIB Documentary was a quick way for the Beatles to fulfill their contract of the 5 movies they had to do. That might have been what Michael Lindsay Hogg meant when he said, ''We don't even have a story yet.'' Or What the story is about....
Same goes with their last 2 studio albums, ''Let It Be & Abbey Road''. They were just fulfilling their music contract. So in other words, by January 1970 for all intents and purposes, The Beatles were able to finish as a band...
Here's another thing I noticed; The concert stills with audio clips from Japan, listen to the intro's to each song by John, ''Now we're gonna sing'', ''Here's a song we're going to sing'', ''Here's another song from album 6 I think'' & so on. None of the intros were, ''Here's a Tune from our last album.'' In my opinion I don't think John Lennon, (who gave most of the intros) didn't even realize that he was letting the ''Cat'' Completely ''Out-Of-The-Bag'' since we know George Martin was using session musicians & the boys just laid down ''Vocal Tracks'' on all the earlier albums prior to Billy & 1967s Sgt Peppers....
Mike, I enjoyed this special broadcast. Although I'm gonna listen to this one a few more times, I also dig that it's about the same length as Peter Jackson's Get Back Documentary. So Thank You Mike for all the hard work that you had to do in order to present this one to us... You're the best...
Masterful analysis as usual. Great Job Mike!!!
ОтветитьLook closely at your video with "Paul" at around the 36 minute mark - notice the strange creases on his cheeks just below his eyes. Silicone?
ОтветитьHi Mike, I have another approach to the “Get Back” – “Let it Be” movies.
With all the hub-bub and back-and-forth involving Peter Jackson’s “Revision” perhaps we are overlooking the bigger picture.
Here’s my premise: The original “Let it Be” film was a movie project not unlike “A Hard Day’s Night”. A rock band goes through minor trials and tribulations leading up to a movie-ending live performance. Like the Beatles themselves, the movie “Let it Be” is fantasy – but sold as truth.
Every book and movie requires some sort of conflict. In both "Let it Be" and "Get Back" movies George conveniently leaves the group when filming is taking place. – What drama!!!. Will he return in time? For George to actually leave the band would embroil him in years of legal trouble and end up costing great gobs of time and money.
You have already so adeptly pointed out many “curiosities” and unrealistic elements relating to the studio set-up including microphone placement and such – eventually leading up to the many questions about the rooftop performance. The unrealistic time-table of song development and recording ending with the two-concert performance was never questioned in the original movie.
Here’s another issue: What band goes into a studio with nothing? Most bands have everything down - songs written, melody, with extensive hours of practice to minimize actual recording time – and still extensive changes may be required. Recording time is very expensive – Beatles included. The Beatles were not the only ones recording in Abbey Road or Twickingham. To sit around and do nothing for hours on end is expensive and stupid. The time could have been rented out to a dozen other recording performers at a handsome profit.
A band may write a dozen songs to get one that holds any promise. Where are these other songs that don’t quite make the cut? In the “Let it Be” film, there is extensive footage of the lads practicing Abbey Road songs as well as old standards – wasting precious time – yet they keep trying to make sure certain songs work.
The original “Let it Be” film is a fantasy movie for a fantasy band.
Peter Jackson simply amplified the fantasy image in put forth in “Let it Be” by recreating the happy Kum-by-Ya image with lots of “unseen footage” assisted by CGI in “Get Back” – no doubt with Bill’s encouragement and blessing.
The original Beatles were basically a garage band, not professional musicians. They were used to doing little work and getting lots for it. Billy prolly pissed them off trying to get them to do more.
ОтветитьBilly is NOT the Beatles, he is Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which is what the remaining band was with him at the helm.
ОтветитьMike, I don't think you've found your vocal range. I like to sing the high 80s stuff but I have a baritone voice. I actually sound pretty good when I sing at the speed and range I'm good at. When I sing the stuff I really like, the way THEY sing it, I don't sound very good.
ОтветитьFascinating information.. finding your channel has confirmed .. so many former beliefs have been fabricated … “fly me to the moon” ..thanks for the insight and work
.just ordered Billy’s Back ..
Why are they all wearing green in the recording studio photo?
Ответитьyou know tesla said the universe was all 3, 6, & 9s.
ОтветитьYou should try focusing in on some of those burning cigarettes, they don't look like old 1969 cigarettes to me, if they have ribbing on the paper, that means they are modern "safety" cigarettes that are meant to go out if they're not drawn on more easily. I am only able to stream in 240p because my internet quality is bad however even the filters don't look like they are the old style, it looks like a modern cork colored full flavor filter.
ОтветитьMike we been told from the horses' mouthes in multiple ways, perhaps the most blatant being: "nothing is real". Epic work as usual Mike!
ОтветитьI have an audiobook of the Memoirs of Billy Shears and in the introduction its Gregory Paul Martin (Beatle’s producer George Martin’s oldest son) speaking. He mentioned meeting Paul in 1962 when Greg was 5 years old. He also said it’s up to us to draw our own conclusions from the book.
ОтветитьA lot of the stuff in the promo seems so fake like them joking around with each other they couldn’t stand him I saw the original let it be when I was a little kid when it came out and I thought they hate that guy all these happy times if they actually happened they would’ve been in the original absolutely they would’ve had them go out on a happy note
ОтветитьPeter Jackson, Disney and the Beatles. Luciferian trifecta
ОтветитьGreat report. Thanks for posting this.
ОтветитьLet's face it. Peter Jackson re-writing of history by means of AI is truly scary. It is a nightmare which comes directly out of 1984 novel in which the history was continuosly re-written over and over again.
ОтветитьThe partly blind is obviously indicating Billy is blind in one eye …….. I think !
ОтветитьFrankly, I'm not worried about the abysmal differences between the Let It Be DVD and Peter Jackson's Get Back. however, I think it would be very important and very useful to disclose the names of the possible composers of the songs that "were not written" by the beatles, as well as the names of all the musicians who were in the emi studios to play on the songs that I and millions of other people in this world were sure they were 'touched' by the beatles. Am I demanding too much? after all, we really need to know if these beatles were or not, a big '' farce ''! (Note: Text from Portuguese to English via google translator. Thank.
ОтветитьThe stripes on Johns shirt are the same color as the background wall in the studio.
ОтветитьIt was a live album
ОтветитьSeeing that talentless black haired skank always hovering round the lads really takes the shine off any Beatles studio stills or movies...
ОтветитьSome of the still pix don't even look like any of the real Beatles..I believe they're all CGI/AI...wow what a psy op..this whole is fake! Wow! I totally see it! Thank you Mike Williams..your research is soo thorough and intriguing..i always learn so much! 😘
ОтветитьNever have I ever in my 42 years of living came across such a complete and utter waste of time. They were a freak of nature, a one-off! Thats EXACTLY what makes them so special. Like Mahler, Paganini, Hendrix, and Dylan, etc. they are just great musicians... End of story. 😂 Hence why, NO OTHER BAND has even come close.
ОтветитьBilly's hands in the air "something big" his right hand is 5 fingers and his left 4 fingers = 9
jAN 19 IS 1 19 > 911 but also 19 1 > 161 > half off 322
Heroin makes your pupils look like pin points . No mistaking a person on heroin it's immediately noticeable in their relaxed face muscles too . John isnt doing heroin in this film . Iv never seen a shot of him high . Not one.
I lost all respect for Peter Jackson with his support of the West Memphis 3.
ОтветитьBilly Pepper. Bravo Mr. Williams, on a fabulously well written, well sung, and well produced number. My newest favourite song. Oh, and your analysis of the Get Back docufantasy is nothing to scoff at, either. Thank you, for all you do.
ОтветитьDid the Traveling Wilburys play their own tunes? Now I wonder about every album I have enjoyed, like ever...
ОтветитьMasterful.
ОтветитьLinda was likely shot in camera with a Zeiss Softar filter No.1. A number one smooths out the hair and softens the skin without being really obvious .
ОтветитьI don't think Billy demanding to be no 1 in the book is truthful as he was groomed and appointed to the position. Whole Paris thing felt weird. I know they were there in Paris, but Billy talking as if he needed to have that demand reminds us how every other thing is probably a lie.
ОтветитьAt the 3 H 11 minutes, 45 seconds on the director action card when Paul is pointing up like Jesus, is the date 31 1 69 or 3 1 69???
ОтветитьI find it strange that John is supposed to be a heroin addict yet he is often wearing short sleeve shirts and I don't notice any visible marks... Also nobody would openly expose needle marks on a feature film ....
ОтветитьScaffolding planks
ОтветитьAwesome work!
