Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition - All New DLC & Contents

After the depressing disappointment of RE6, I reluctantly got into RE7 long after its Gold Edition (RE8 was releasing soon, which urged me to play RE7, so I’d be caught up for the direct sequel in the Winters saga) that I got it for only $24 and found it to be the RE franchise’s redemption with the wise course correction, but I definitely preferred the setting and creatures of RE8 to RE7. However, while RE8 failed to be as good as OG RE4, the castle section was a teasing taste of RE4 and thus, I took it as a promise of how good RE4R would be a few years later.

When it was revealed that instead of RE3R’s dev team, the dev team (Div 1) behind RE7, RE2R, and RE8 would be working on RE4R, I was very relieved; I was also happy to see Capcom later announced RE4R would also be coming to PS4 cuz I didn’t care for PS5 (and just because it would’ve been such a sorely missed opportunity for the Remake of RE4 to finally match the same numbering as the PS4 version! C’mon, son!), but I did manage to preorder the GS-exclusive CE of both PS4 and PS5 versions (opened PS4; kept PS5 sealed NIB), which is my first collector’s edition of any game I ever got and I don’t regret it after Plat’ing RE4R back in May.

Cuz boredom kills me, I decided to get the Steam version in late August to play with mods and that’s how I played the SW DLC (which I knew would be eventually released as a full remakeover like Leon’s campaign according to signs throughout 2023 and I also predicted it would be paid DLC at $10 despite all the clueless naysayers who were the vast doom and gloom majority), which turned out to be the best part of RE4R in my book; I adore Ada more so now that since Leon already got a statute in the RE2R’s CE and instead of him getting the statue again in RE4R’s CE, I still wish Ada got one of herself, which would’ve been super cool of Capcom to do for a Collector’s Gold Edition of RE4R. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was sort of a let down, I mean the game is fun and the already released DLC is nice, but just bundled together? That’s all we get?😭sad day man

I want a classic 2005 skin for Leon, like in RE2 Remake

I’m baffled by why they don’t add the PRL. It’s literally missing from the game, just imagine how dope it would look with these graphics.

If you dont have the game then get the gold version, otherwise skip it

The only way that this is worth it is if they’re not selling this at full price is there something of this for like 30 or $40 or If you don’t have the game then yeah it’s worth it but $60 for all this no it’s not worth it. Stop putting money back in Capcom’s hands you can get all this DLC for less than the price of a full game. Stop giving them more money.

Really thought they would give more. Basically if you own the deluxe edition and brought separate ways you own the Gold edition that kind of sucks

Just got the game. I played re7 and loved it played 8 and liked it. Best both those games in about a week huge fan of the series now:) currently at 30% for me getting the gold edition for 30 felt like this was an okay deal

I was hoping they added an unlock all challenges it would of been cool for those who haven't got cat ears or even adding the Los plagues remover wepon I thought it was a cool gun to get after completing professional mode

i dont get this edition...its only useful for people who start to play now for people who already have it all its useless :D should add some more stuff and game is like year old and still they add gold edition which include all DLCs only now like WTF?! :D:D

i never was big fan of horror survival games but somehow i own every remeke game of Resident Evil franchise 😅

it's all started with Biohazard i said i will give it a try and it was brilliant then got Village liked it even more and since then i brought every remake version that's available 😅
