Matt, you have more to it than that, i dont say this is bad, this is improvable. You are talented af, my suggestion is when you done writing a song, put it aside for a while not listening to it, and after some time has passed, listen to it and your brain automatically sends you some signals and melodies to improve it. this is more like the metallica approach, thats why their songs feels like complete rather than most bands. Keep up the good work \m/
