ОтветитьThese are the Assyrians From the Christian faith It is a new year for Assyrians only There is no religion to do with this holiday Christianity has a history and Assyria has a history Do not be confused and say that Christians bring back the New Year for the Assyrian people. The Bible teaches us against Assyrian nationalism But we Assyrians are always proud of Assyria

ОтветитьIraqi Armenians who are Christian do not celebrate Assyrian New Year. So why would you title it "Iraqi Christians" then?
The title should be: Assyrians celebrate Akitu feast, the Assyrian New Year in Dohuk
I'm really curious, Assyrians can you tell me if you've ever met someone who has a black parent and an Assyrian parent ?

ОтветитьIndigenous Assyrians of Iraq celebrating AKITU, Assyrian New Year 6774!
ОтветитьWe are NOT Iraqi Christians! We are Assyrian and we predate Iraq by thousands of years. There are several other Iraqi Christians who are not Assyrian, who don't celebrate Akitu. Akitu is a pre-Christian holiday celebrated by Assyrians for thousands of years, it has nothing to do with Christianity or Iraq.
