Smash Up: Science Fiction Double Feature Review - with Tom Vasel

I'm in the UK and got mine a couple of weeks ago.

Smash Up has become THE go-to filler game for my game groups.  Everyone that I've shown this to LOVES it (we play with a variant that puts out -1 base rather than +1 base per player).  I can't wait to show them this expansion!

this is both an expansion and a 2 player stand alone game. it comes with enough cards for 2 players a rulebook explaining the original game and score markers.

Late night double feature picture show?

I haven't even opened my other two expansions yet but I want this so bad :').

Love the humour on the cards in this game. Maybe you guys should do a top-ten funniest games or most humourous next.

Bacta the Future, classic

The opening was disgusting.

There is however one big issue with this expansion that wasn't mentioned. If you own both expansions for the main game already, you have no way to store the new factions without using a second box. This is a big issue for a lot of people, including me.

It has been rumoured however that a collectors box with a new Geek faction will be released that will have enough space to hold every single faction to date - if this is true, this will be on my buy list! :D

It´s such a cool game, but most of my friends are turned off, because of the textwalls on the cards...

Thank you so much for this review of this expansion. I sort of knew I would pick this one up once I heard about it, but now I am even more excited about it based on what you have shown here. Super review and timely too! Wanted to see androids fighting Brad and Janet though...:)

Brilliant intro. Could have done with the bright red lipstick though :D

I totally agree. The shapeshifters are hands-down my favorite faction in Smash Up. 

The guy who taught me how to play Smash-Up used entirely cards from this expansion. He played Cyborg Apes-Shapeshifters and I played Spy-Time Travelers. :)

I love the game and own everything for it, but this is honestly my least favorite expansion. With the exception of the Shapeshifters, none of these factions really do it for me.
