Thank you! Planning to get my first boots soon, a stock boot cause my feet are quite normal sized😆
Though I'm actually thinking of buying online ... my pro shop's skates (delivery and all considered), are twice the price of ordering the same boot online (ironically, the shop one would cost nearly a month of the median salary in my country)😫
in a bit of a dilemma cause I've never really tested the feel of different boot brands, so not exactly sure which would fit well.
Please do a tutorial on champion stroking!!!
ОтветитьThis helped alot, THANKS! Even though I never skated, I'll try and do my best to prepare (´。• ω •。`)
Ответитьdidn't you just get sp terris?
ОтветитьI would love to do figure skating but my family are on a pretty cheap budget because of the pandemic my parents have had work at home and aren’t get there full payment
ОтветитьThanks so much for this helpful video! Im 13 so i wonder if im a bit late into figure skating but ill put a lot of hard work in! 😁
ОтветитьThank you , that was really helpful! Here in Germany everything is closed at the moment so i cant really start this sport but I'm really interested in it and want to start as fast as possible!
Ответитьmy new ones were 1600$ in total and im so scared because idk if ill like them or not
ОтветитьWhats ur opinion on edea they are my favourite skate and has been for a while i had the edea overtures and now i have the chorus i love them but would love to know your preference on the company and there skates
ОтветитьI'm obese. I want to learn to ice skate in order to lose weight while having fun. Is there a particular brand, style, and materials (I don't want them breaking due to my weight) in skates I should look for?
I too have flat feet.
Thanks for the helpful video. You mentioned you have flat feet, how is that problem resolved with the skates? I have flat feet myself but am having trouble fitting orthotics inside the skates. I tried Superfeet recommended by the pro-shop but my feet felt more painful skating in them. I think just comfortable insoles should work too but I am not sure which ones are good for skates. Any advice?
Ответитьi'm kind of confused so i'm gonna be getting white skates with a bit of pink but my sister is gonna be getting black skates and she's looking pretty happy but my dad is saying that black ice skates are for boys and white are for girls? is this true??????
ОтветитьHallo i am a 23 year old guy. Can you recommend any specific figure skates for men for intermediate. Thanka in advance
ОтветитьHey, I’m wanting to get back into skating. I stopped when learning axel in 2014. I sold my Jackson Freestyle boots but still have the Jackson Artiste boots I used before getting the freestyles, do you think the artiste would be suitable to work back up to single lutz with? A lot of videos I’ve watched suggest to get a stronger boot, but they’re expensive. Thanks :)
ОтветитьI'm wondering how often you recommend we sharpen skates for a 10 year old who skates 6 days a week. She has the cosmos blades.
ОтветитьHey Michelle great video again! Your feet look like mine, I have flat feet!
ОтветитьThank you for making this video :) I am interested to see how you like your custom skates :)
ОтветитьIve read that new skates are supposed to hurt a little while breaking them in but I just got my first pair of skates and I skated in them two hours today and had no pain at all. They're not too big or anything. So is it possible not to have your feet hurt and is that ok?
ОтветитьMe not being able to spend over £70 on skates :[]
ОтветитьI'm panicking. PLEASE tell me that the floor was just grey rubber mats and not concrete 😫 😢 😭
ОтветитьI’d love to see a video going over different blades! I stopped skating when I was a teenager but am looking to get back into it in my late 20s. I feel like I can figure out what boot I want but the blades I have no idea!
ОтветитьHi coach Michelle, I don’t know anything about ice skating but my daughter loves ice skating. This video helped me a lot how to choose the skate.
Could you make other videos about how to wear the shoes, how to tighten the lace, what to wear on the feet. I think you wore stocking in this video but another person seemed like wearing socks.
I am also wondering about other gears. I saw some kids wearing padded shorts and padded hat at a rink. Where can I find those?
According to levels, what do I need to prepare for my daughter? She doesn’t take a private lesson at all so I have no one to ask for a help. Thank a lot!!!
Do you prefer Riedell or Jackson boots? Blades?
ОтветитьWhen just starting do you recommend to rent until you know you want to keep going to save money? Or is it best to have proper skates from the start.
ОтветитьWhere can we get hand me downs from people who also have flat(ish) feet..?
ОтветитьI have feet issues but I don’t have enough money for custom boots, should I just stick to stock boots?
ОтветитьHi. Have you done a video on the diffent options for skates that are not custom?
ОтветитьHii! I’m quite a beginner I am working on single jumps (I can jump pretty high I just land on two feet) I’m 16 ,5’5 and I weigh about 50 kg. I currently have the overture skates and there very broken. My coach recommended me the ice flies since he says that all the other edea skates break very fast. I’m not really sure if I should get them since there very advanced . Would appreciate it so much if you could help me❤️
ОтветитьAsian parents: OH skating is an expensive sport!
Also asian parents: haha antique violin goes brrr
I will say about the Jackson Artistes that even though I got them custom-fitted at a good skate shop, the bottom of my foot hurt a lot almost immediately when I get onto the ice. It was kinda like landing flat-footed on concrete without any shoes on.I've only had them for 5 months and I'm already looking to get new skates because of the pain. I'm not the only one with this problem either, so don't be worried if someone feels the same pain. No clue where it's from.
ОтветитьI'm an adult with size 11 feet. No stock states were ever going to fit me comfortably. I LOVE my Aura skates. They scan your feet and create a FULLY customized boot for less than most custom boots. Other custom boots work off only a few measurements. Blades and boots totaled @$1500 in 2021. If you are lucky enough to be near an Aura dealer, check it out!
ОтветитьI have flat feet, then my right ankle joint is half fused. Do usually use insoles, that helps slightly. The ankle thing is the problem
ОтветитьHow do you take care of your skates? What do you do when your skates rust around the area where the blade is attached to the boot? I dug out my old Jackson Freestyles and I’m considering getting back on the ice as an adult now but I’m not sure if it’s safe to skate on them 🤔
ОтветитьCousins! Why don't we have a figure skater?
ОтветитьBowling alleys sometimes have a boot sizer.
ОтветитьAre you going to wear them socks that are in your shoes
ОтветитьNow I no
ОтветитьI’m a level 6 almost 7 and this literally sometimes help me
Ответитьthis is so random but you have ✨THE PRETTIEST NOSE I HAVE EVER SEEN ✨
ОтветитьYou have given me a lot of hope! Allow me to share my story… apologies for the long text ahead.
I also have very flat feet, not arch at all. My feet have always hurt when I do sport or exercise that involves stuff like running. I stopped playing soccer because of this. I started having my feet checked out when I was a teenager, and I’ve worn orthopedic insoles ever since. These insoles stabilize my feet and minimizes the pain I feel when standing or walking for a longer time. They are also very chunky; I don’t wear sandals or slippers for this reason.
When I discovered figure skating 5-6 years ago, I desperately wanted to learn (I have 0 skating experience). I never did, because of my feet. They hurt very bad whenever I tried to skate, and my insoles wouldn’t fit in the skates (rentals).
Now, as an almost 22 year old, I have dug into the world of flat feet and figure skating, and I kinda didn’t have a lot of hope. Upon reaching out to my local figure skating club, I learned that they don’t have any experience with flat feet and skating. They recommended contacting one of the only skate-suppliers in my country. They were sweet enough to come to my city and bring some skates for me to try out.
We went for the Jackson Artiste! When I first wore them, it hurt from the moment I stood up. Then I grabbed my old insoles, and we cut them to fit in the skate, and my skates were altered to make room for my foot-bone sticking out on each foot. Now it almost doesn’t hurt at all! I had been wondering if the only solution would be the have custom skates made considering my condition, but that would be very expensive for first-time skates.
Watching this video was comforting. I feel better having bought stock skates instead of custom.
I was wondering, could you, or someone who knows, tell me a bit about Jackson Artiste? I can’t quite figure out what level they’re meant for. I am a complete beginner, my local rink is not even open yet, so I can’t skate yet. I just wear them at home cause I’m too excited😂
Witch one do you go to
ОтветитьMy skates are custom (around 1k) and I love them so much! I really recommend getting custom skates if you’re experienced enough
ОтветитьMuch bla bla bla and little info
Ответитьwhere do i get 75$ skate shoes though? im a beginner and i feel like its a fond to have cheap ones first:).
ОтветитьThank you for your video , is it true that Jackson wears out quickly?
ОтветитьThis sport is so expensive I just bought a pair today, and I did riedell, BUT THERE MORE AFFORDABLE AND SO NICE
ОтветитьAfter 6 years should I get customs ive always wanted a pair but they have been way out of budget, ive decided on saving up but honestly I don't really know(I no longer ice sake but inline free skate cause I find it easier on my legs) im an edea overture skater if that effects anything
ОтветитьWhat did you get for custom skates after you were fitted?
Ответить
