There is partial truth in this. Capital efficiency is neglected in this proposition. Air Travel has more efficiency than railways. However, there is a greater cost to it. However, in the world of start-ups , most businesses are subsidising the cost of goods and services they provide. This enables them to show growth and get more capital. It's an endless ponzi scheme that will end when the free money(mostly created out of nothing) flowing from the west stops.

In a nutshell: if you have a product/solution/ that can disrupt the market people will use it. No advertisement is required. Eg: Everyone wants a mobile phone, a mobile phone in itself, doesn't need any advertisement (brands may do so).
But when you have shit products like CRED, you may advertise and make people think that it's a new thing that people should use. But soon the product will die.

This is the whole idea wrapped in mumbo jumbo, explained using useless examples and jargon to look cool.
Speak something that no one understands, they will assume that you are speaking something extraordinary.

Delta 4 concept is good but to achieve success you need to maintain Delta 4+ efficiency over existing option or it will create reverse Delta 4.
For example Catching an AUTO on street is very easy so its new Delta 4 over booking Ola/Uber on their apps with frequent cancellations, high prices, bad ride expeience etc.
