Which would you choose - the regular Jimny, or the Twisted Jimny? VOTE below!
ОтветитьI think if it was modified with a strong turbo to reach 240 horsepower it would be great, also maybe some interior modifications such as increasing insulation, also adjusting the distance from the ground so that you do not feel the road as much like luxury cars
ОтветитьHow much is it originally without this modification?
ОтветитьI guess if them made it with 25k would a be nice choice for that's money 💰
ОтветитьTurbo kit.
Rear sway bar.
That's it...
Then, remove the sway bar for off-road driving.
I hate the mini G wagon comparison, the Jimny came first, a G wagon is a maxi Jimny, not vice versa
ОтветитьIt's not jimny it's other car
ОтветитьIm gonna be a hater for once. This is such a dumb build, nothing makes sense. Why put terain tires and a lift if you put a turbo on it and make it full leather? One plunge into the mud and your interior is ruined. Also the turbo is not needed for off roading unless you are doing a timed rally most climbs and technical sections are done at 5 to 30 kmph no need to do 0-100 in 9.3 seconds if it's a off road car. Looks to me like someone with bad taste and no off road experience in any kind of way wants it looking like he off roads but only hits the highways and a few hardened country roads. In the end this guy spend 40k in parts that cancel each other out. My car has cost me 10 k at most and will take a piss on this car and the best part is i dont care if something breaks becouse i can fix it myself and cheap.
ОтветитьI love jimnys so much
ОтветитьI love that it’s built purely for fun in a world where most cars now are so boring ! But 60k is too much I would have a normal Jimny and stick a turbo on it. Also some sound deadening isn’t hard to do yourself at home.
ОтветитьThere's nothing like a turbo engine sucking in hot engine air. Obviously it's not designed to drive through mud or water.
Ответить£40,000 worth of mods ??? You should have simply brought a JEEP Wrangler Rubicon / Gladiator
Ответитьso you tested a jimny onroad ??
ОтветитьBro should get wragler instead of this 😅😅
ОтветитьThanks WOW THAT'S AWESOME 😎👍
ОтветитьThe turbo kit for the top of the spec list for the jimny is $5,741 AUD - so 3,026 pound... which includes pretty well everything - fuel pumps and lines - all requirements for the turbo (manifold, turbo, intercooler and piping ect) and it also includes a TUNE which is plug and play for automatic or manual.... You need a clutch for the manual - auto is okay - say $1000 - Oil cooler for trans $200.... a lift kit for them is cheap with shocks and coils - $1000.... so lets just call it $9k AUD - 4700 pounds.... if you include someone else to just spend a few days on it and pay labour to bolt up a kit lets call it total of $12,000 AUD- $6000 ish pounds...... Where is the other $34,000 pound of work, triming some interior when you can just buy other seats or the covers in leather from thailand or even go with a recaro which are much better than the standard crap and still have airbags, the door cards and dash trim you can buy online in leather yourself from thailand or many other places.... If someone pays that its a joke you can do it easily for more than half the price for not much and having someone install it...
ОтветитьThe normal Jimny is already 44k here
ОтветитьSo it's a ND MX5 with Steroids
ОтветитьIts lack of performance on-road is compensated with its off-road performance. Because it’s more an off-roader than an on-roader, making it differ from modern SUV’s who consider it is off-roading when they accidentally drive on grass.
I too have a Jimny and it will be the last car I own because I am in love with its back to basic simplicity and its rugged attitude.
I’ve made a lot of modifications to her (yes, she is a female by the name of the daughter I never fathered).
I’ve added massive spot lights, a designed roof rack and ladder, and lots of cabin extras, and double diff-lockers, and improved suspension.
My Nicole is a beast in disguise. She looks very good, and as a true off-roader she has capabilities way beyond her good looks, to the surprise of many.
I have made Nicole the last vehicle I will ever own because the Jimny is a one of a kind vehicle with a potential only limited by the imagination of its owner.
As a retiree I will drive her wherever I want. From west to east of Central America. To El Salvador and Costa Rica. From the north of Mexico down to the Darien Gap in Panama.
She will take us to wherever we want and she will do it with ease and in pretty good comfort.
why Suzuki didn't put the K14 turbo engine from the Vitara/S-Cross in the Jimny I don't know.
ОтветитьInstalling a turbo has just halved the life of the engine.
Ответитьspotto au wants to know your location
ОтветитьThis K-Series engine has a lot of modern bits, has a lot of potential for modification, the reason why stock feels sluggish is that suzuki tuned this engine to deliver maximum fuel efficiency.
ОтветитьBaby G lol
ОтветитьJimny twisted 💩
Ответить1. As I want to keep my Jimny I will not add a turbo as it might shorten the life of the engine.
2. Firmer dampers -done, as I want to keep the original ride hight. The firmer dampers were a very good purchase and driving experience. Firmer springs would add 40mm ride hight, which I don’t want nor need so I opted out on those.
Included in the damper purchase was a larger steering damper as well. Overall driving experience is a large improvement.
IN SOME OF THE ROAD SOMEONE FORGET WHAT A 4 X 4 IS SUPPOSED TO BE AND TO PERFOME ! You want to make fast speed start in a road ? What is the purpose of leather in the off road driving ? It is a petty that the old (and inteligent) 4 x 4 Land Rover way of driving, is been replaced by a TikTok mentality of show business driving.
ОтветитьGet the turbo and suspension upgrades and forget about the interior
Ответитьsuper charge it
ОтветитьI need to modify my chimney from Sam Oates bideford and demi the dog
Ответитьjust get the turbo
ОтветитьI would rather spend 60k on a Porsche macan .
ОтветитьNow slam it and put it on 18s.
Ответитьnow its worth the 25k base price
ОтветитьThat interior finish is not acceptable for the price they want. That looks more like cheap diy kit than professional upholstery.
Also cheap 100£ chinese head units have wireless car play & android auto. All you need is a decent amp for the audio. Why pay 4x just for warranty to Alpine or pioneer for inferior product.
40 grand for 165 horses?
ОтветитьThe "standard Jimny" is also the older model Jimny ;-)
ОтветитьTwisted saw you coming and laughed hysterically all the way to the bank. Mod your own for a fraction of the Twisted price you mugs!
ОтветитьI would just get a defender
ОтветитьCan you get a dual turbo? That would predictulize the power.
ОтветитьSee if you can get a supercharger for it. That should keep the power predictable. Put less chunky AT's and go the next size up. And do the suspension. Even if ya just get better shocks. And if you do do the full suspension see if ya can get quick release sway bar brackets for 4×4ing. Not doing the interior would save a fair bit of money and a little bit of weight. Which is important as well. Especially in a Jimny.
Ответитьmeh.. feel like you can do a suspension upgrade for 3 grand on a Jimmy and get the benefits.. the power would be nice, but.. it's not what you buy a Jimny for.. the interior looks kinda crap to be honest.. same for the decals and such.. and "worse" tyres for every day use..
so, suspension + engine upgrades, that's about it. highly depending on what they'd charged for just those.
should have disconecting links to the sway bar at that price
ОтветитьShould have procharged it
ОтветитьJust want to say that I've noticed those very nice number plates on both cars
ОтветитьI would at least buy the turbo upgrade
ОтветитьDamn straight you should! Go go go!
ОтветитьPointless.
ОтветитьMan I really wish we got these in the US
Ответить
