Comprehensive Reading Instruction: 12 Interacting and Interconnecting elements

The National Reading Panel identified five foundational elements for reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. All well and good, but they were seven foundational elements short of a full load. This video describes all 12 interdependent and interacting elements needed in a comprehensive literacy program.
