i used your guide and everything wworked up until i went to bind the keys, i tried using the up arrow as start stream and i guess thats one of the non working keys but now when i try to open the bind menu i get a pop up saying the same variable cannot be used and i dont have a way around this and im SOL until you reply please help

Any chance there is a way to keep using the macro's from interacting with the game you are playing? For example, hitting 'S' on the hotkey keyboard causes me to move backward in Rocket League, as well as the hotkey activity. Either way thanks for putting this together man, I was actually planning on coding something in AHK myself an you save me a lot of time!

How do you save the keys you bind? Shouldn't it be whatever you make it when you go to OBS and try to make the hotkeys work? Lets sat I make "1" on my keyboard = "alt + 1" then if I go to OBS in the hot keys I should press that same 1 and get the "alt + 1", but that's not what I'm getting. I get f24

Ok so every time you turn on the computer you'll need to run the ahk script, Lua macros, and then hit a key on the "macro" keyboard to get started or is there a way to have it ready each time?

Whenever I do cntrl+slt+shift+n it doesnt pop up the box and instead gives me an error message thingy. Idk how to respond but if anyone has had this issue plz lmk

well, this sure looks like consumer friendly ! at the time i got into this "luamacros" stuff, i found out that i should be using only non existent keys like "alt+F13" upto "...F24" samething with ctrl and shift keys, but never combine shift with alts and ctrls so i ended up using only luamacros as it was able to do it self sufficiently. The most bothersome part was making luamacros print me out the button ids , like "e" on secondary keyboard was button==69 abnd i always had to make it operate on key up (meaning nothing gets send while the key is held down but on release of the key.

i would definitely give you autohotkey widget if i had not had to go through that process but i am happy since you can show and share it to casual pc people.

so i spend over an hour last night attempting this from a linus tech tip video, nothing he did was wrong at all but i just couldn't figure anything out, it wouldn't work at all. Your setup is a lifesaver! i was really looking to add a soundboard and ran out of key combos. Cant thank you enough for your version and the easy explanation Got it up and running instantly! Wish i saw yours first because i almost gave up on this

I can only get one hot key to work whenever i try to do another one it just goes blank

The sound isn't working for me. I get the dialog box I press the key on my maco keyboard pick the audio and then the prompt closes as it should. When I press the key on my macro keyboard the sound doesn't play. mp3 file should work right?

Sorry, I know it's an old video, but is there a way to get the second keyboard to run AHK scripts and not just other keys? In my case, I'd like to have mouse movement and delays between key presses.

it worked for me. thank you. one thing you should mention is that the "hotkey description" should be the exact same as the name of the scene in OBS you want to change to. it's a bit tricky because, you can't really set them from the hotkey menu inside obs.

form me i'm using Resanance so i'm using shiftnctrl alt N for my sounds never mind it doesn't wok Resanance all that i'm getting is f24

This is a bit odd but it doesn't seem to be working with my bluetooth keyboard, the ahk file senses it but when I click any key on it it doesnt add the F24 combo, any fixes?

Well, you do good work for this. It certainly makes it more easy to program this, but the Streamdeck has images, you can submenu on it and then the images change. It also takes up less space on your desk. And you can use multiple on one system. But okay, if you have the space, not the money and not against to program a little more dificult, this can be your sollution.
... For Europreans, like me, we live in small - from an American view you might even see it as tiny - houses. So efficient space > cost it is.
But again, if this is good enough for you, it's good enough for you.

What's annoying about macrokeyboards on windows is that we need to use up key combinations from the main keyboard for the macro keyboard. Ctrl-alt-num1 these are all main keyboard keys. Why can't there be a totally unique set of keys?
