I had honestly never listened to this piece... So worth a second look. His ornithological inclusions are so brilliant!
ОтветитьThis piece is fantastic. This performance, I think, is a great starting ground for discussing the standard of soloist memorization.
I think it's optional, and clearly, you can play well with a score!!!
I love this piece. One of these days I learn this.
ОтветитьGood piece, dreadful performance.
ОтветитьDelicate, minute performance!!
ОтветитьThat Eflat player (whom I don't recognize) is one of the oiseaux exotiques. Fantastic!
ОтветитьWho's playing E-flat clarinet in this recording? He's fantastic!
Ответитьi can't sense the music!
ОтветитьWhat's so musical about this piece?!
ОтветитьBrilliant!
ОтветитьThis brings back memories of when I played 1st clarinet in this piece in L.A. 40 years ago. I really had the sense of being a bird; the bird calls are very ornithologically accurate - Messiaen was actually a serious ornithologist. Totally unique piece - nothing like it, except maybe a few other pieces by Messiaen.
ОтветитьIch kann diese Musik nicht ernstnehmen..
Ответитьthis sounds quite terrible.
ОтветитьI’ve never seen such a interesting orchestra scene
ОтветитьThe conducting is very simple
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what xylophone mallets are used?

ОтветитьDodecaphonic ?
ОтветитьHer Debussy shows her fine imagination and colorpalette . I hope she'll give us some if not all "Vingt Regards " Its amazing she got G to record the Schonberg concerto ! I hope 10,000 libraries and universities got it ! Boulez Sonatas (No.2 if not no.3 ) would really add to her German repertoire ! S he is an incredible musician !
