Thanks for your videos I like your hat what kind of hat is that
ОтветитьI ran a Havana cigar business in the 1990's called 'St James Cigars' UK based. I smoked & tested all the best cigars. The quality across the brands was very different in terms of draw and production, and some 'best brands' were un-smokable. IMO, the best and most reliable were Hoyo's (especially Epicure no.1) followed by Bolivar & Partigas, then Monti's but R&J were mixed in the smaller gauges, however the Churchill's (especially tubos) were always great. I also found Choix Supreme to be good production quality and burned well, of course quite a light smoke, but personally liked these a lot. Cuaba were then new, and a bit different, but i liked these also as they tasted a bit different. I found some Monti no 2's very poor burn quality and after many also found them too strong. Always go for a tubo if available or packaged as cedros both usually good, I found these were better constructed in every case. Of course, leave them as long as you can and they improve, sometimes significantly. When the harvest has been poor - as this year - expect poorer quality, especially in the smaller gauges as the manufacturers seem to favour the bigger sizes for quality. Siglos, used to be Cohibas cheaper brand (only one fermentation), not sure if this is still the case. Often you can buy a cheaper quality cigar that has not been aged - lay them down for say two years or more in the right conditions, then you have a magnificent cigar. Now, something I never see discussed - the length - this is very important! As the cigar burns - the first centimeter is poor as the cigar warms up, the best bit is ALWAYS the middle, (of course, leave the ash on of course and never let it go out), the last bit gets too strong as it is effectively filtering the smoke as it burns. SO, a LONGER cigar gives a much better 'middle'. If you go for say only a 4 inch length - it simple will only give you a very short middle bit of high quality. I now NEVER smoke anything shorter than 5 inches and preferably nearer six inches. If you buy short cigars, IMO you are wasting you money on a very limited smoke of quality. This is sort of reflected in the prices generally. Cohiba's are IMO not worth the extra unless money is not a factor, I occasionally go for an Esplendidos as these are a very special smoke, actually quite 'bland' but oh so smooth and exquisite. jp
ОтветитьRomeo y Julieta are the first cigars I smoked and also my favourites. Mild, elegant but distinct.
ОтветитьRomeo y julieta churchill and partagas d4 are my go too. Next to that is la gloria
ОтветитьThey’re all sold out online 😢
ОтветитьHad them all,but the funadores and behike
ОтветитьGreat review ❤ Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьI'm spending 5 days in London and was thinking of trying a cuban cigar everyday. Perfect video with a perfect timing..thank you my friend
ОтветитьI am glad to see two of my preferences: the Ramon Allones SS and the Bolivar BF. I would have selected the others differently (e.g. RyJ WIDE Churchill), but everyone will have their own preferences. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!
ОтветитьThanks for the list. I like it. Your audio is a bit low though, I have to increase my volume to listen to your content. Hope you don't mind me pointing that out. Again thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI agree with a couple of your choices but first off, just try and find the Fundadores, the Behike is stupid $$$ and I find the RyJ bland nowhere near full bodied and finally I think the HdM petit robusto exceeds the Epi 2. This is just my opinion, experience and thoughts… hey why don’t you do any Habanos reviews as of late? Smoke on sir😁💨💨💨
