That door it's not repairable
The wood is not even good for fire
It's good for video 👎👎👎
This dude has too much time on his hands;
He should go fishing or something 😂😂😂😂
Beautiful! Keeping to true form of the original look. True craftsmanship taking the old and making it new instead of trashing it and make something totally different. Craftsmanship and patience
Wow. What a pointless endeavor. I could have made two or three doors from scratch in the time it took him to fix one POS door with a bunch of patches...smh
Well, that’ll rot out in a few years and someone can finally throw it away and make a new one out of something other than pine
Molto coraggioso.
Beautiful but to time consuming
Ответитьrenamed it! How to repair a rotting Door with tools worth 3000$ & replace most of the door with new wood
With the amount of cutting out all the rotten wood that was needed and then splicing in new wood, it would have been better to have made a whole new door.
Perfect.
All for the sake of a video, sure salvage the good timber for another project, but this serves no purpose...
I would have saved the hardware and thrown the rest away.
Ответитьyou literally wasted more wood and resources restoring it than it would have taken to make a new one instead. That door was good for firewood, that would have been the best way to recycle it.
A lot of comments about making a new door instea dof restoring it. Maybe he did this to test his skills and show it off.
What a shemozzle.
Seems like you have an actual wood working shop, but so much of this process goes against basic wood working practices.
Ответитьwhy bother? just make the same new door with brand-new wood. OOh I get it... you just wanted to.
Must admit, some techniques used here, seem very barbaric. Why on earth would one vacuum all those bad sections of wood rather than sweep them into a bucket? Why use the multitool if he has a crosscut?? Why not repair the wood section before reassembly?? Looks like a painful resto
Dobra robota
Unless this was Jesus´s house door...
You gave me some ideas with your video thank you so much. You are great.
This is incredible craftsmanship. I know restoration regulations in Europe are very strict. Not just materials but also processes must be followed many times. This might be the case here. Talk about taking the very last possible shreds of what is left and making it work! This dude is really good!
Beau travail
felicitaciones
Old white paints were made with lead. Please be very, very careful when handling old white wooden objects.
This door may not always have been white... Still, good to know. Better safe than sorry, especially in the case of possible lead poisoning.
What wonderful craftsmanship.
You had me... until I saw 👀 your jacket! Go Red Sox 😊
Sort of like an advert for German power tools.
I saw the video and can't understand why trying to save the original, if all the new wood you buy is almost the same.
From my point of view, was easier to buy logs the same size and just join together.
Does anyone know what that door lock/latch he did not reuse is called? I have always loved these on antique doors and cabinets, but I can only find the industrial heavy-duty ones used on shipping containers, which contain a cam bar latch.
Lo butti via
Un superbe atelier ❤❤❤
Good job but penny wise pound foolish
Ответитьnice work! but what is this orbital planer! I need it!
Bravo
Excellent work.
Sir u did a awesome work on those doors sir only a person with talent like that can do those types on talent can do so great job udid sir 👍👍👍👍👍👍
