Brothers? Brotherhood of Makuta?
Ответитьyeah... Join the same brothers he planned to kill from the very beginning.
ОтветитьAnd it's still one of the most exciting moments in the entire movie
ОтветитьCould you make a difference video between english and german makuta. The german one is better :D
ОтветитьI'm not sure I would call this genuine. I mean, I guess he isn't lying but I don't think he has the good intentions that he wants Vakama to think he has. I think he's just using a bit of truth to manipulate Vakama. It's manipulation 101. By complimenting Vakama's skills he makes himself seem more trustworthy. But I would not think he has any actual sympathy for Vakama. He wants Vakama to think that if they join they will be equals and Vakama will gain alot of power, but in reality Vakama would just become a slave.
That's just the way I see it though. Not saying I know any of this better than anyone else. xD
Man these movies have really aged well in terms of the animation. I can't believe stuff from the early 2000s looks this good. Same with video games as well, most of the heavily stylized stuff looks good while those that went for "realism" have aged poorly.
Ответитьthe music in these was out of this world
ОтветитьSo no one's gonna talk about how the Vahi conveniently fits perfectly over Vakama's Huna? If I didn't know any better, I'd say he built it like that on purpose.
ОтветитьIf Teridax was a hot dominatrix with robo-boobs, Vakama would've accepted his offer.
ОтветитьI still love these movies with a great passion, even Web of Shadows, I don't understand the pure hatred I've seen for these movies.
ОтветитьI always imagined the 2001 Makuta sounding like Unicron from Transformers 1986. It just feels “right” to me.
ОтветитьJoin my brothers and me...
ОтветитьIn truth when I was new to the 2004 film, I thought Terry was referring to the victims of his Shadow Hand. To be comprehense:
I thought he called Nidihki & Krekka brothers after he absorbed them which almost made sense that he had Titan body, I thought he did the same shadow hand on Dume for that's how he had the Turaga disguise, in result I thought anyone victimised by his Shadow Hand succumbs to a slumber & are officialised as his brothers.
I then thought he did the same thing to Mata Nui (I almost guessed correctly the Great Spirit does have a body prior to 2008), which is why he calls himself & Mata Nui brothers.
But no, I was able to find BioSector01 back around 2006 & he was referring to his Brotherhood unit & its species.
Dume was merely placed in the hibernation pod as simple as putting a Matoran in.
The Shadow Hand kills its victims to fuel into a bigger body (depending on how much victims he takes), so the two DH stooges are dead (not revived in the Red Star)
And he calls himself & Mata Nui brothers cuz their powers are equal, although I truthfully accept Teridax as Mata Nui's creation not brother unless if we can, we can create an extra backstory of how when Teridax was created, Mata Nui accidently transferred a part of his power to Terry so it would then make sense of calling them brothers.
something new huh?
ОтветитьGoddamn that’s still as fvcking cool as I remember all those years ago. If we clone Nelson Mandela, we can bring back 🅱️ionicle! Who’s with me?
ОтветитьIt's safe to say he would have killed Vakama even if he accepted. He was just sweet-talking him to get his hands on the Vahi.
ОтветитьI still find funny/disappointing the only aspect of Makuta that resemblances his set are the back and shoulder "toa nuva" pieces.
ОтветитьThis scene has always struck me as Teridax being truly surprised Vakama managed to finally make the mask of time, hence why he would actually try to be generous in attempts to sway Vakama to his side
ОтветитьI remember being so confused by him saying "brothers" especially since this was a few years before they decided Makuta was a species instead of the guy's name.
ОтветитьIdk what this title is talking about Makuta was simply trying to manipulate him into joining his side just so Makuta could use the mask of time and even as a bonus get the toa of fire on his side. He doesn’t care about vakama he’s only wanting to use him
Ответитьweird how when Vakama wears the Mask of Time, he has two masks on at the same time...
ОтветитьThanks for fixing the order of camera shots at the start when Vakama shows the mask of time and Makuta is surprised, as it looked a little off in the actual movie.
ОтветитьI feel like Makuta was speaking the truth most of the time in Mask of Light too, but they changed the story so it made it seem like Makuta never truly cared about Mata Nui.
ОтветитьHuh, I always thought he was referring to Krekka, nihdiki and nuvahk
ОтветитьWhat the fook happened to the nuva toa
Ответить"Join my brothers...that I will someday obliterate for my plans."
ОтветитьThe Music of Bionicle is something else. It's not overly sci-fi. It's so ethereal like, adding in grandiose fantasy themes with the synth-ish sounds just beneath. A perfect representation for Bionicle. A Mystical tale told with organic machines.
Or maybe it's just me being nostalgic.
I've always though that Makuta was sincere in his offer to Vakama.
I actually messaged Greg Farshtey back in the old days and asked him about it, but he declined to answer.
Cheesus Crust, with that music, and that kidna emotion, no wonder everyome liked that show.
ОтветитьI am back bitches.
ОтветитьThis always stick with me when me vakama said I desire one noble destiny.
ОтветитьOkay so cuz of the internet fault and transformers memes the word coming out of his mouth ''COME'' made me chuckle to hard
ОтветитьThis line always confused me back prior to 2008, but after learning that Terry wasn't alone, it's honestly mind blowing how much planning ahead there was for Bionicle as a story.
ОтветитьWhether he was sincere or not, he would've just ended up dying with the rest of the Brotherhood once Makuta deemed it necessary. Vakama would've either been a disposable pawn or an obstacle; that's all anyone else is as far as Makuta's concerned.
ОтветитьSo Vakama was basically offered a job in the mafia and said no
Ответить"Join my brothers"
That one feminist from twitter X: UhM mAkUtA iS sExIsT fOr NoT iNcLuDiNg ThE mIsTiKa GiRl MaKuTa
Rip Theshadowedone1
Vakama: I desire just one noble destiny. (puts on the Vahi) More than any power you can offer me!
ОтветитьMakuta teridax es genial, es como el lich de la época de aventuras pero con carisma y bien escrito, al menos el tipo es peligroso y con carisma
Ответить:zhdem:
ОтветитьThe Brotherhood was already planned by this point, so it really does seem like it could be foreshadowing for the Brotherhood of Makuta. It could also be referring to Nidhiki, Krekka, and the Nivawk he absorbed. The latter would be a little weird, as the sincerity of the delivery doesn't really seem like it is in line with a threat, and he would never have viewed any dark hunters or rahi as a brother (he only viewed Mata Nui as a Brother, and to a limited extent, the other Makuta), but it is possible. Makuta had still not become as completely heartless as he would later become in the story, and probably did want Vakama to join the Brotherhood. Also, while I don't know how intentional or canon it is, this is actually a really fitting lead into the next movie, as Roodaka, working as a servant of the BoM, does actually end up making him indirectly serving Teridax and ruling the Brotherhood's most devistating army, so it just feels all around perfect.
ОтветитьI was an avid Bionicle collector until 2007. That's when I sadly went through the "Waaaah you gotta stop liking your childhood stuff now" phase. Bleh. I remember being so confused when people kept calling Makuta "Teridax". Once I looked into the reveal more about Makuta being a species....I mean, it makes sense. It explains why everyone always refered to him as "The Makuta"&the "Join my brothers" line makes more sense now.
ОтветитьHe was so impressed that he actually wanted to make Vakama a Makuta.
ОтветитьUp until 2007, I had no idea what he meant by “my brothers”
ОтветитьMakuta may feel everyone are beneath him, but deep down he knows he is nothing but alone in his own genius. Perhaps this was his moment of true lucidity, free from his ego - that he wishes someone at his side, not a pawn to be cast aside, but someone like him, someone who would accomplish anything with unlimited potential, hindered by the flaws of society. Maybe not an equal, but someone who would understand him in his grand design. For in the end all villains are alone in their evil, even if they accomplish what they truly desired.
ОтветитьIs it ever stated what Makuta's plan with the mask was, or was it just something he wanted because he knew it would be useful.
ОтветитьI know this is like 3 years later but like, whats the music of the scene?
ОтветитьWhat song is this?
ОтветитьThis is another reason as to why I love Vakama so much- he is a role model when it comes to resisting temptation. Yes, I know what happened to him in web of shadows, but he was not in his right mind. Plus, he redeemed himself by the end of the movie.
