Can it charge itself?

Does jbl charge 5 have built in microphone for phone calls ?

I just bought a charge 5 and there no bass on mine I’ve downloaded the app updated the software and played with eq it gets loud but no bass. Is mine defective?

also how is the speaker coming with usb A to usb C cable a and no brick a problem? I just don't get it

first of all, if your phone's charging brick doesn't have usb A, just use the cable that came with the phone to charge the speaker ?

also, if you didn't have that cable before because your phone has usb C to usb C, now you can actually use the speaker as a powerbank with the cable it came with

I have had mine for a couple of years now and my only complaint is that the rubber bottom strips pealed off.

I bought mine before I saw this. Pretty much spot on, except for one point I have yet to verify; Battery life. I know that cranked all the way up with the extended bass it will last about 5 hours. With it at 7/10 volume and extended bass off it appears that it may go past 8 hours but I yet to test it as my shift in the noisy factory is only 8 hours

Not even close to 20 hours mine played 7 hours and died then wouldn’t play even while it’s plugged in

After acquiring charge 5 I must say, it sucks so much at higher volume especially on music that is edm/electro or dustep this sound only somewhat fine on pop/rap music

Why not touch the rubber groves? Electroshock? I'm asking cause my toddler will most likely grab it. So you're saying its not safe?

I would say this speaker is definitely portable. I usually carry it around in the sleeve of my hoodie pocket which makes it a LOT easier

The two finger's at the end of the video mean something completely different here in the UK.

Just replaced my other JPL BLT that I've had for about 10 years. Haven't used it much yet but am pretty satisfied. It's a little on the big side for portable BLT speakers but have been pretty impressed so far.

ok i'm really disappointed with JBL in general, thought it would be possible to connect all JBL speakers of the newer variants with each other... but it turns out daisy chaining without a phone is virtually impossible... which I think is a cheek. Why do I have to use my speakers with a phone? So unfortunately again not what was promised and certainly not easy to connect (as they promise in their ads) without a phone.

JBL Charge 5 is the worst speaker i have owned. It constantly crackles & the JBL app is useless. Do not buy this speaker.

Way too much base bro.. like it's extremely unpleasant. Just had a demo in a store and it sounded awfull and even cheap.
