Kazinform news agency marks 104th anniversary

Kazakhstan’s largest international news agency celebrates its 104th anniversary. The history of Kazinform began in 1920 with the establishment of the Orenburg-Turgai branch of the Russian Telegraph Agency (ROSTA). For more than a century, the agency has undergone numerous transformations. It was renamed KazROST, KazTASS, and KazTAG. Kazinform entered a new stage of its development in the period of the country’s independence. In 2002, the Kazakh Information Agency was established, and twenty years later, it took on its present form.
