Reminder that this ranking is not my opinion; it's from RateYourMusic and was chosen by the users of the site. The only subjective part is the personal favourites.

This chart was retrieved from December 1st, 2024, but due to an issue that I'll hopefully be able to fix in next videos, the last songs' placements are taken from December 13th 2024.

The Krautrock genre is not included in either primary or secondary genres due to its placement being redundant, but keep in mind that all of these songs were marked as Krautrock and other related genres by RYM users

The alternative name for the genre "Kosmiche Music" is in the title because the name "Krautrock" originates from a slur and thus might be offensive for some people.

According to RYM, Krautrock is a subgenre of Experimental Rock that "brings together elements of Psychedelic Rock with avant-garde influences, often incorporating hypnotic rhythms, extended improvisation, and Electronic textures". It typically uses the Motorik Beat and it was originally a Germany exclusive scene, but nowadays it has evolved into other numerous sounds that oftentimes collide with Post-Rock, Noise Rock, Ambient Pop, Post-Punk, among others; sometimes by means of a subgenre of Krautrock named "Neo-kraut", although it hasn't been added to RYM yet.
