Vladimir Putin - President of Russia and Former KGB Agent

In today’s video we are going to look into the life of the President of Russia
and a Former KGB Agent "Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin".
This Russian leader was born on October 7, 1952, in Leningrad, Soviet
Union which is now popularly known as Saint Petersburg, Russia.

His mother, Maria Ivanovna Shelomova was a factory worker and his
father, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin, had served in the Soviet Navy submarine fleet during World War II and worked as a foreman at an automobile factory during the 1950s.

Putin's birth was preceded by the deaths of two brothers, Viktor and Albert,
born in the mid-1930s. Albert died in infancy and Viktor died of diphtheria
during the Siege of Leningrad by Nazi Germany's forces in World War II.

The former KGB intelligence officer currently serving as the President of
Russia. Elected to his current and fourth presidential term in May 2018,
Putin has led the Russian Federation as either its prime minister, acting
president, or president since 1999.
