Yes, agree on the war on consciousness, and that is a sign of total-anti-animism - it is a sovereign right to explore ones own consciousness, yes.

I never tried DMT however I have had an ecstatic seizure and experienced it much like Buddha must have. I saw the fractals in everything everywhere all at once. I saw the connection of all minds, humans, animals and everything else with neuro activity. I saw time in a fractal experiencing, the past, the future in what I can only explain what to me felt like hours but to the observers of me saw only seconds go by. Then it ended with a bang! I completely understood the past, present and future all at once in an explosion of light behind my field of vision. All the while watching doctors and nurses rushing me into the ER giving me an ivey for blood and Ativan or ketamine.. I woke up days later in the neuro psychatric area of the hospital. Happier than I have ever been and the most at peace with the universe.

It would be hard to keep calling it a journey after life. Upon my death there was no control of my movement or direction. Nothing I could do could alter what was happening to my sense of centered soul. I was helpless and dragging through all the places I went and things I saw.

I don't believe any of this, even though I'm a person with very interesting dream experiences. One thing that happens is that I can bring memories from one dream into another, even though I'm not aware that I'm dreaming. I can learn to do something over time in a dream by knowing that I tried something that didn't work, so I will try something new. The other strange thing is that I have a friend who appears in many of my dreams. Sometimes he's an active participant and other times he's just there in the background. One example is that I was standing in a long line to get food I think and he was standing in the line also. We didn't talk to each other. Another time I was in my car in the parking lot of a restaurant and was about to leave. I glanced in the window and he was sitting in the restaurant. The interesting thing about him is that he believes in all kinds of supernatural things while I don't believe anything. It is certainly very interesting though.

Both of these guys have convinced themselves of something which has not a shred of supporting evidence. I really was hoping to hear something that would at least make me go, hmmmm.... Well, the idea of how our minds could be extending beyond our bodies, compared to an electrical field did make me sort of consider it but he went on to talk about how our vision is extending our minds. That was ridiculous. The eye is a light gathering instrument. The brain is an interpreter of what the eye gathers. No extension required. And the brain can interpret what the eye sees differently depending on other factors going on inside the brain which are not a part of reality. The same is true of our ears. We hear things. Today I interpret it one way. Tomorrow I interpret it differently, but the sound or information hasn't changed.

Oh Graham, there is not one scrap of teaching in the Christian texts which prescribes burning at the stake, or indeed any form of torture. These acts were perpetrated by officials who, whilst claiming to stand for the truth, were far outside it. Please always refer to the text for the facts, i.e. the New Testament.
