I think now that you have excess water pressure from your water well, or stream, you could connect a generator that uses that pressure to convert it to electricity and power an electric cooker, and save the wood for winter

The boxes are close enough to each other so that next year you'll find it sprouting in other boxes as well. If you want to grow mint indeed, I would give it a corner far from other veggie boxes and flower beds and pray it doesn't take over the whole yard eventually

One thing I always wanted to ask is, how are you handeling the ticks? I remember, when I went to Sweden, especially to the forest, there were so many tiny ticks. And also here in Germany.. So, I am wondering, do you have a problem with them? How are you able to relax when walking barefoot in the forest and sitting there, to not get a tick.
