A really, really good actor recognizes and understands that he/she is a master of their craft if he has the opportunity to play a character that is flawed and imperfect that there is a real chance that he will be.hated for portraying them.

One should take from Lyle Menedez, that he is a deeply tragic person. On the one hand, you see him as a very hurt child that should have been loved not from the perspective of giving him things, but from the perspective of recognizing that he wanted a pproval. You also recognize that he had a deep loyalty to Eric and a deep sense of guilt and regret for the things that he did to Eric so much so that, he overcompensated by protecting his brother in such a gruesome manner. I don’t think Lyle chose to kill his parents for himself. I think he actually did it to end the pain of his brother. So it is sad and I think after 30 years, he should get a new trial.

In the interest of justice, Lyle and Eric should be found liable for manslaughter. I think they each should, be sentenced to 14 years (3 years for the father plus 11 for mother) and then ultimately sent home the same day for time served.

He deserves an award for his outstanding performance!!!!! Wow

Nicolas is unbelievable and made the movie what it is. I originally saw him in general hospital where he brought to life Spenser. We’ve all been in awe of Nicolas.

Having watched Nicolas for a long time - I was aware he could have played either role. He showed different sides of himself and he’s an amazing talent. Such a young guy to have this gift. He will only get better and better ❤️

I can tell he doesn’t think the boys are 100% innocent victims.. just like I do.. he see’s all the contradicting evidence. But unlike him, I can’t keep my mouth shut about my opinions in this case..

It’s amazing how he holds back his opinions & still tries to empathize with him, so that he can portray him to the best of his ability..

He even said there were times he thought he was so sweet & other times a complete & total a-hole..

For me, Nicholas was the standout. He had so much range and he portrayed such a wide variety of emotions and all of the sides of Lyle in this dramatization. He was the big surprise.Nicholas Chavez is a talented young man!

He is a good actor. He was so good on GH. Ok I’m a little over the back and forth on Menendez show. It’s a Ryan Murphy over the top truth stretching dramatization of a true story. Hope it gets the brothers some help in a review of their case but it’s a dramatization NOT a documentary.

These questions are terrible. He is an ACTOR not a person of the jury. He is playing this character and putting his all into it, can we admire his work and ask those kinds of questions instead? Not his perspective of this case, and demanding these things out of him, or comparing him to Cooper.

Tbh beginning I watched the show bc of Cooper but when seeing Nicholas in his role , it’s blowing my mind . He is so good ! Can’t wait to see him more in future projects.
