Is the All-New 2025 BMW X3 the BEST One Yet?

Think it took a big step back styling wise. Who’s head of BMW design right now? They should be fired. They keep making the grille’s uglier and uglier, and I think that blue interior trim is tacky. I was considering an x3 but actually went with an x1 m35i because I think that’s one of the last good looking BMW SUV’s, and not much smaller than the X3. Also wayy too many haptic controls. Almost no real buttons…

Without wanting to sound like EV hater…BMW took all the EV elements (design, tech, haptic controls, screens) and brought it to non-EV car. That is 100% what people who want non-EV so not want

BMW is so lost. Angry Pigs face. Eliminating buttons inside for horrible capacitive controls. Glossy screens that are hard to see on sunny days. It's interesting that they brought back old-school '80s American exterior door handles.

Its kinda bland in-person, ngl. Interior does not seem as luxurious as a Benz or Volvo. A very plastic luxury car.

Its so ugly . Outside and inside. So people havto take your eyes off the road to do anything in the car. Getting ride of all buttons and knobs and real shifters is for one reason and one reason only. To cut costs

This new design is absolutely beautiful to me. It's beefier than the old one, which looked like a shy little mouse. To all the whiners below, I'm sure you haven't seen a real one on the road yet. How many times in the last 10-15 years have I heard that BMW has "lost it": the 2019 X5, the X7, the 2020 X6, the iX. With this one, it's the same story all over again. The contingent of inveterate doomsayers.

The SMART Brands are bringing some of the buttons and knobs back again. Like you said, it works great when your just sitting in a parking lot. I like many wouldn't buy a car for this reason alone, no matter how good everything else might be.

I got the new X3 M50 in Vegas Red because it stood out from the old fart designs they used to make…plus it drives like a race car 🎉

Look at those smooth body lines, now it is officially a German Mazda in a fugly way.

They forgot to replace the throttle and brake pedals with haptic touchscreens.

I have owned a first generation X5 and second and third gen X3. This forth gen X3 lost me, styling is awful. Somehow they made it look cheap.

You mentioned it was taller but I don’t think that is correct. I believe it is about one inch lower in height.

X3 or Model Y?

I don't want to call it ugly because back when Bangle designed cars for BMW, nobody liked them either. But these are the most un-chiseled, plain, box-looking, boring, stamped out cars they've ever produced. At least they make good engines.

I don’t know, but other than the infotainment screen, it seems very cheap to me. There’s a lot of hard plastics inside.

Look cheap design.

My loaded 2019 looks so luxurious compared to this plastic piece of junk. The exterior is not bad but they cut corners all over the place on the interior. The center stack with all its functions on touch screen and instrument cluster is ugly. I mean really ugly. Mine has upgraded leather seats power seats both sides panoramic with open sunroof. Soft touch materials everywhere dash even top of doors. I've even seen 60,000 dollar X3 and it looks just plain Jane is this. What a massive waste of money this is. Of course the reason they cut corners this badly was to keep the price point at 50,000 which is a lot but it could have been a lot more considering the cost of labor and parts and everything have gone up so much. So it will still sell because I think the price point will we still be manageable.

not a fan of that odd steering wheel.. maybe you get adjusted to it. Not a fan of this redesign, I like the previous X3 better.

I love my X3 in dune gray! Always getting the thumbs up. Beautiful suv. Rides nice.

I don't know how you can like this vehicle.
It's hideous. Like ugly+. There is not a single angle where this car looks good.
Controlling everything in the car using these silly capacitive touch surfaces and touch screen - absolute nonsense. It's a REALLY bad idea, what is wrong with proper knobs and buttons? Why do you have to move essential things like AC controls to some menu with a submenu.
And lastly - awful materials. Plastic everywhere. Those huge interior light bars - just a bunch of plastic with LEDs, with cheap fake leather around it. Soft touch surfaces are not very soft, plastic on door handles and side doors - Dodge level bad.

The only redeeming feature of the new X3s - engines. Good engines, very powerful and economical. But the rest of the car - absolute trash and MANY MANY steps back from the previous gen.
