Trove MMORPG 2021 First Impressions "Is It Worth Playing?"

Not worth it the developers are money hungry and some of the items are almost impossible to get and ruined so aspects of the game

I played trove when it first came out and thought it was just a trash game. Its amazing to see how far its come

i havent played this game for 4 years i have it on my ps4 and just not played it in a while

trove is a amazing game, played it since beta. it has a lot of problems with p2w currently but it is very f2p playable and is amazingly fun.

The lag is so bad tho.........

A lot of people say this is a kids game but as a guy with 2.5k hours I can say that the majority is pretty old

Game is fun, simple and unique. Put some time in it and you will have huge fun in this game, playerbase is cool too

its fun until you hit power rank around 25000, then its a painful, sometimes time locked, gem grind. still, fun for new players, and grinding mounts is always fun

I played around realese date and stopped after a month because of how much time i was spending on it. Like, 13-17 straight every day (summer holidays lol). I came back recently and now I 1 shot every boss and can essentially fly just by jumping. And all my epic weapons? Now some weird ass shadow rarity with some crazy ass buffs. The game is now REALLY easy. Like if you memorize all the large dungeons you can jump straight to the final boss, get the loot and continue. Keep repeating this for about 3-5 hours and your most likely going to have maxed out your class and probably three others just for shits and giggles. The game is still very fun and a good break from constantly playing warzone and valorant all the time. It definitely still will be up there with my top ten mmorpgs. 10/10.

Game is ok, but don't test the in game community attitude, the humanity in this game is probably dead.

This was so much better than Josh Strife Hayes’ video on trove. He barely played and judged the stuff he didn’t understand just because of how it looked to him.

I'd say you summed the game up pretty well.
The game is enjoyable and simple, but the simplicity only makes you come back when you want a game for relaxing.
Jumps have the advantage of avoiding attacks as well as navigating the world easier which is good for if you want to get around quickly, but bad because it trivializes fights on top of making holes in walls or platforms
Classes can be simple to understand but there's not much creativity within them outside of random bonuses from subclasses and empowered gems; the classes do what they say they do but not much else until you get a Class Key after you've spent days grinding to get to the final areas, and even then they tend to just boost the strengths they have.
There is incentive to grind other classes from level 1 since it boosts their subclass choice and means you can play a new class with a friend you convinced to try it, but the subclasses don't increase in strength until they have a Power Rank above 5000.
Also one class is a worse version of existing ones: Shadow Hunter. Any ranged option hits harder, stuns more efficiently, has decoys to distract mobs or negates damage.

I kinda wanna have shaders in the game because the world look dull that what i want in the game

It reminds me of the week grinds of minecraft that people have, its a game you play on and off but I wouldn't play it for months on end

I got to Power Rank 10,000 in this game a while ago. It was a pretty chill game. I got kinda burnt out of it in some of the end game content tho. The game is also kinda p2w too :/

Almost everything on the cash shop you can get for free unless it's specifically says you have to use money and the large variety of classes changes things up. At the start my dream mount was a dragon, now I have 10+ so now the mount I want is a golden chicken that walks in the air (Ganda) but I can definitely see why the player base isn't huge but still has some players

interest slowly rises. "pay to win!" all interest hit 0. NOPE!

I've been playing trove for like 6 years now and I love it so much I'm almost top 150 on the leaderboard for power rank and I never get bored tbh

I just started trove and imma be honest it’s actually a very good game

why didnt u put " even when fighting the boss, characters health never goes down, and when it does, it goes right back up" as a con. that is the worst part to me. its just toooo easy. but boy is that game super super fun.

i miss this game, it will always have a place in my heart as a used to be best mmo

I love to play this game with my son , a good introduction to mmo rpgs, easier to play then minecraft for me, and lots of fun without blood lol , makes him be responsible and work for his crafted gear lol

Hey can you give another review in the near future of trove?? This game has improved as of recent yeah? I just came back after years since gamigo bought out trion. I am enjoying the class improvements and new skill tree and gems, would like to see your opinion on it. :)

Unfortunately, this was never the way Trove was. When you play the game for many months, or hell in my case, many years, you notice the faults of the game to an unethical standard. The management is slow, there is no community managers that actually do their jobs, and the updates are too few and far and when we do get them, all that happens is we get more timegated stuff to just waste more time on probably never getting. Sadly this game's company is not competent and I hope they get sued for the shit they've done to the employees working there.

When you said its for people that have short attention span you were right but its only true for the early game.
when you get near end game you have to grind hundreds or thousonds of hours to get better gear because the rng is very low (for example crystal 4 gear)
