NOMOS Club Campus neomatik 39 Midnight Blue Review

Nomos should bring it out in arobics or romans but not a mixture of the two,spoiling a good watch.

I think I have a problem, because I love almost all of the Nomos watches' design. (And I'm old.)

I don't like the mix of Arabic and roman numerals. 👎👎

Fave Nomos so far, I find their usual minimalism a bit bland, but I'd prefer the Cali dial done properly. To each their own 👍

I have definitely fell in love with Nomos. I kind of actually like the roman numerals. I think they do mix in well with the bar indexes, it's not as disruptive if they were not there

However- there are Club models with only arabic numerals !

But for me, this watch looks like a cheap Chinese $ 20 watch.
And not like a $ 2300 watch !

Have you read about the big problem the company is having with the Neo Nazies working there ? They are trying to stop them but what can they do. It is a terrible place to live. Very racist city . The company is thinking of moving . It is full of violent skin heads . Drunks on the streets . Attacking people .

Teddy, I don't recall if this has been discussed here but Nomos is discontinuing the 38.5mm Club Date. This was confirmed in an email from the company to me. It is not available for sale on the Nomos site. Dealers may have this item in stock. It was one of the Nomos watches on my list.

Funny, I know Nomos for many years now and the Club was the watch I liked the less, and the worse was this "California dial" version with that odd look with the roman numerals. Now is one of the Nomos I like the most and this one in particular with the blue and gold mix is an awesome piece: casual, young, classic but interesting at the same time...I guess this is what happens with tastes, some things just need a bit longer.

I just can't pick the "one" I would want in my collection. Tangente is attractive but I don't like the lugs... Orion is nice but a bit ... boring. The small ones are too small, the higher end are too expensive.. some others are too colourful/playful... very difficult.

saving up for this one. i really like nomos design.

I owe this one among many others including the new explorer from Rolex or Gold elprimero 1969. To make it short it’s one of my favorite. Has to be seen in real to understand the sophistication from the blue slate dial. Even the strap made in France has a deep blue nuance than enhances the watch. So under the radar and such a pleasure to wear for watch lovers. Oh and I swim with it in the sea when ever I can and ride my motorcycle without any problem. Simply replaced my rolex as an everyday watch. Thanks for the review!

To me Nomos watches feel like something I'd buy for my 16 year old cousins birthday. It's playful, colourful and design over function. Sure, it's a nice watch, but when I can get a used Black Bay 36 or Seamaster professional; I don't feel like you get much for the money with the Nomos. Yes it has an in-house movement, but that in itself does not carry any value - the quality of it will. A well modified and calibrated ETA will perform just as well, and meanwhile you're getting something from the rolex family or straight off James Bond's wrist.

With that said, this is still a really cool watch. And if it wasn't for the cali-dial, I would happily wear it.

I'm a fan of Nomos watches. They are a breath of fresh air in the watch market. The older brands are coasting along on their past accomplishments and are simply not trying hard enough. I'll put my money towards the new guys and help them grow in the marketplace.

Hey Teddy, nice review. Something I would love to see you do in reviews is a segment where you “dress up/dress down” the watch. For example I’d love to see this watch “dressed up” on the black cordovan strap that Nomos makes. I think this would be a fine watch with a suit. However, you could put it on a golden brown suede strap to match the accents on the dial and the hands, and “dress down” to the watch to be sporty.

looks like just a refined version of Timex and priced at $3500 !!! thats crazy
There are tons of options at this price and even lower price that are miles better with respectable horological names like Omega, Seiko ..etc

Good Alternative: Club Aqua ATLANTIK. No „california“ but ingenious (slightly different) colour and 20 atm.

Nomos are beautiful.. just wish they had normal lugs...

I'm a fan of Nomos and have a manual club campus. The second hand on your review Neomatik seems an odd colour choice? Hard to see. Nice watch otherwise

Ya I agree, I don't really like much of Nomos watches. I think most of the club campus series looks like toys, but this is interesting. I think that darker dial gives it a more sophisticated look, but idk if I would pick one up for that price.

This is tha type of watch for Me, Myself, the type that I wear on the inside of the wrist, no need for people to know what it is, just for me

I love the entire Club line, but I always go for the clear case back. When spending money on a quality watch, I want the entire experience, including being able to see that gorgeous movement.

neomatik is something which the company claims it to be the movements of the coming years DUW 3001 as it is slim and elegant do you also agree with the same?

I am wearing a Tangente at the moment. I bought it at my graduation. I saved up to buy it and I love it. As a student it was hard but one day I went to buy it.

And even now I could afford a Rolex ….. Nomos is so nice in its design that I consider this one as my next.

I own this watch and really enjoy it. I have a 7.25” wrist and it wears perfectly.

Nomos is one of my favorite affordable luxury brands that I don't own yet.
