Thank you for going slowly and showing close up so we could actually see what to do. Does it matter what kind of replacement line we buy?

This is really helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьThank you! Doing my friend's lawn and forgot how to use a line trimmer 😅
ОтветитьThanks mate, it helped me allot
ОтветитьThey changed the head. Mine doesn't look anything like that.
ОтветитьI have 36V. I find this line so weak... its frustrating unless I'm doing something wrong.
ОтветитьI’ve pulled out the Ryobi manual, and not a word on how to restring the spool. This video is never going to go viral, but you are helping a lot of people. Many thanks.
ОтветитьThankyou
ОтветитьCouldn’t find the hole
ОтветитьEXELLENT, I'm a chick who is very capable but had no idea how to change the trimming line until l watched your video ❤
ОтветитьOmg Matt you're a legend, thank you!
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Helped alot
ОтветитьThank you very much for this video!! It helped me a lot! Very clear, to the point, wrll explained!!
ОтветитьThank you this video was such a help
ОтветитьAny tips/demis on winding line onto a twin feed ( 2 holes) Ryobi RLT 5030 Whipper Snipper spool please ? I an losing my mind trying. 😡🤪😂
ОтветитьGreat video thanks Matt, im always worried not enough has come out, how do you get it to push more line out? Newbie to doing the laws myself and recently brought the electric Ryobi tools :) so much easier than trying to pull the cord to start the petrol ones
ОтветитьOmg thank you!
ОтветитьThank u for such a clear explanation!!!! 💓
ОтветитьLegend!
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьThis is the way you do "How to" videos. Simply explained with close-ups.👌👍!
ОтветитьGreat vid, thanks. My Stihl is 15 mins away so gotta use the gf's Ryobi.
ОтветитьThank you😊
ОтветитьThank you mate
ОтветитьI was tempted to take the easy route and buy the more expensive Ryobi spool cartridges, but after watching your video, I decided to go with the more affordable 50m line. Not only did it save me money, but it also showed me how simple it is to do myself. Thanks for the helpful guide!
ОтветитьHow do i keep the string from wrapping around the head when i use it😖
ОтветитьPerfect! Thank you for this walk through. Re spooling was very easy after watching your video
ОтветитьThanks, Mate, from Bossier City, Louisiana, USA. Not a word of how to restring the line in the paperwork that came with the trimmer. Your video saved me a lot of aggravation and bad words. Have a Maruyama trimmer and I moved to a smaller yard and have decided to go with the Royobi family of electrics. Thanks a bunch, Sir.
ОтветитьCheers! Never knew about the little gap in the spool. 🥴
ОтветитьThis was a life saver!!
ОтветитьThank you so much Matt!
I tried to find this in the manual, and couldn’t!
Was going to resort to just trying (would have been a disaster) but then I found your video!
Greatly appreciate the effort you put into this video and your ability to explain how to do something without being condescending! A rare quality and talent!
Thank you again!
Thank you so much for this informative video.. I have been struggling for months with the wrong line and bad line wrapping 👍😁
ОтветитьThank you so much! I was given one of these line trimmers second hand and have never used one before today, let alone reloaded the spool. This video was immensely helpful and clear!
ОтветитьGot wire jamed under cannot get it out. Doze that mean its a throw away
ОтветитьVery helpful, good explaining
ОтветитьLove to buy 15m for $3.
It's $11.98 @ Bunnings 2day.
I got ripped off!
Does your spool "click" into place, I don't feel a click when I put the spool in does anyone else have that issue?
ОтветитьThank you for the video!
ОтветитьAre there any videos on how to remove the entire head assembly? A piece of nylon twine got wrapped underneath/around the line case and it's causing the motor to jam.
ОтветитьThank you so much for the easy to understand instructions! I never remember how to do it, so I pull your video up every time I run out of line and follow along. 👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьThanks 😊
ОтветитьSorry about the question, but why is there a "spool" in the first place? Does the machine feed out line, little by little? Or when the line breaks, you open and adjust it so the next portion of it sticks out?
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьFirst time I used this weed whacker I knew I wasn't buying their replacement spools. What a rip off, their feed system is rubbish. That's where they plan on making their money. I will do this and I'm planning on getting a length of braided cable to try out too. First time I actually put in a zip tie, it didn't last long but worked great for a couple of minutes, just need something stronger. I do like that it's pretty easy to work with...
ОтветитьExcellent video. Very simple.
ОтветитьThank you! Great tutorial ✌️
ОтветитьSUPER helpful! Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThanks, I haven't put new line on in a while. FYI, us dumb Americans don't do centimeters so slip in an inch or foot sometime.
I know, I know, we should get with the metric program.
Being on the opposite hemisphere do I need to reverse the direction you were using? 😜🤣
ОтветитьI know everyone has to start somewhere, but I feel like if someone can't rewind a trimmer spool, when it's just this same basic design as all the rest, that they probably shouldn't be using a string trimmer.
Also unless your trimmer has one foot in the grave so it can't maintain proper RPM, there's no need to reload it with only 1/3 of the line capacity as shown in the video, which just results in having to restring it 3X as often.
They are designed with a spool capacity which isn't too heavy for the torque the motor is capable of while cutting a normal density weed feed rate. If it's bogging down, the amount of line isn't so much the problem as the overall performance of the trimmer for what you're trying to cut.
If when you put more line on, you find it is getting caught up on itself, which certain line products are more likely to do, then either switch the line brand, or else you can just take a paper towel damp with vegetable/motor/mineral/etc oil and pull the line through it before putting on the spool. PA/nylon plastic is resistant to oil, and the majority of trimmer line is nylon as well.
