Here's why I love the BMF belt: Not just anyone can fight for it or hold it. Its never going around the waist of an up and comer, it'll always get wrapped around someone who is dominant, still relevant, has knocked out and gotten knocked out by the best and has fought top comp.
Sometimes a loser in a big match has their stock actually go UP, these guys AND ONLY THESE GUYS are the true BMFs and only they fight for the belt. The pool is small.

It's perfectly reasonable to make an interim belt when the champ is injured, regardless of his legacy. For the HW title, only his HW legacy should mean anything. Aspinall objectively is a much more accomplished UFC HW.

Dana should tell him to fight Tom Aspinall if he beats Stipe or to leave the UFC.
