IFI Elite vs Audiophonics

Hi Mike, I would love to see a video of your total current state of your streaming system from where the internet comes into your system... Routers, streamers etc. I know a couple years ago you were using Meraki switches with AudioPhool upgrades and LPS etc. I would love to know what has changed and why etc... Is that something you would consider doing? Thanks!

Hi Mike! I have 3 of those, 2 for RME Dacs and 1 for a Motorola Modem/Router. Should be plugged in the wall, not in a power conditioner. Too much filtering.

I love your videos. You embody all the fun in experimenting, testing, and tuning HiFi. So glad I watched this video. Had an audio LPS with my modem and was not a good match.

Hey Mike , hab den sbooster an der fritz box und kann nur bestätigen, das sich der sound verbesserst es wirkt klarer und einfach viel runder. Einen Geheim tipp noch bei der Fritzbox in den Einstellungen Heimnetz-Netzwerk-Lan Einstellungen kannst du die Lan Verbindung auf den Green Mode setzen somit ist zwar die Übertragung nur bei 100mb aber der Klanggewinn ist deutlich hörbar und macht keine Probleme beim streamen. Die Idee dahinter ist, dass weniger Energie das elektronische Rauschen absenkt.

Great video Mike! I have invested big time on my home network, mostly thanks to Alpha Audio. I found that EVERY single ethernet and power cable made a huge difference, I use Sbooster on incoming fiber converter to my house and Router. I've tried everything from cheap standard ethernet cables and ended up with Siltech Classic legend from the incoming fiber converter to the router. I've even gone as far as my Network gets it's main power from a dedicated Gigawatt installation cable to a Furutech outlet, then a Isotek optimum into a Isotek Aquarius evo 3 with a Synergistic research purple fuse. EVERYTHING make a difference, a network is very very sensative.

I use the iFi Elite (12V) with my network router. It was a significant improvement over the iFi Power X I had before, which in turn bettered the Laptop-type PS that was supplied with the Arris router.
I use a Pangea power cord with the Elite, not because I have compared PCs on the Elite PS, but because I had an extra one lying around.

Can you please tell me wich one is the most important power supply in the internet chain?
The power supply for the router, or the one for the last switch?
My setup; Fritzbox (sbooster) / netgear gc110 (lhy power supply) / Meraki ms220 8 (lhy power supply) / Meraki ms220 8p (sbooster).

Have you heard about the LHY FMC fiber tranciever?
I wonder if this device is also good to use as last post for the streamer.

You can quite easily upgrade the wire to Mundorf Angelique for example. And when you sell the unit change to original

Do you know something about the new fritzbox 7690 and how it compares to the fritzbox 7590ax in terms of hifi/sound? The electronics inside the new one looks also a bit different and let's me doubt about it, although I'm not an expert and it could just be newer technology and more efficient.

Did you see Gabster video on testing PSU

If my steamer has a 2Gb buffer I can't imagine there is any way the router or power supply could have any effect. Especially since I am using unshielded Cat6 until the last few meters.
