BAD CHANGES TO DIAMONDS & RED STARS? - MARVEL Strike Force - MSF

They should do something about dark promo credits they’re almost impossible to “farm” for how expensive rank ups are. It took me over a year maybe two go get enough to finish oml. Dont worry i have thousands of the other two though. Got bored & im using them on minions

They really need to increase the Intel (chapter) currency distribution or reduce the prices in the store if that's going to be their plan for keeping rosters current. Even if you're done with Prof X, you're still going to be very selective in how you spend it between character shards, gear, and now diamonds. I didn't know how new players are going to catch up without spending college tuitions on a game.

I do like how they keep making some updates to BW each time it comes back.

When was the last time they made any change that wasn't a bad change?

The best part of this game is the theory crafting. They keep taking it away over and over. They never seem to learn that the players don't want cookie cutter teams.

I am a new player i think im high enough level to unlock it this time. But do I need all of astral to unlock knull. Will i have a decent chance at level 80 to get knull on this go around?

In general, paying for a product or entertainment is perfectly fine. There's nothing inherently wrong with the concept, even in mobile gaming. It's a bummer, though, that every new change that Scopely implements is designed solely to frustrate us and slow us down. Unless our intel income is going to increase in any appreciable way, this change to red stars is purely to slow us down so that we'll need to make a choice between gear or red stars.

All content released has been gated by yellow stars, red stars, and gear. Veteran players typically reserve at least one Elite7 orb so that we can unlock 7RS for new characters on release day, regardless of when/how we unlock that character, which allows us to clear one of those gates easily, and it's clear that Scopely doesn't like that and wants to close that gate unless we pay or wait.

It'd be rad if they instead invested the brain power used to come up with frustration mechanics to instead provide interesting mechanics or content that takes a long time to clear, and then provide avenues to pay to speed it up. That provides more long term value for players, and personally, makes me more interested in paying.

So uh, stop complaining about not having to buy the first new character of a team lol. You're making me nervous that they'll change it. :)

We’re getting very little intel as is barely enough to buy g20 gear pieces. Now they want to put red stars and diamonds in there really!!!! Scopely is making it harder and harder to actively to destroy the little bit of good that they have left. They haven’t made one positive change recently that has made the community feel good!

The big issue with the elite store is the high price of the old dark redstar chacters. Others of said it and its 100% true. Until scopley decides to add the dark redstar promotions old characters like BT spider will never be spent on. Same for any thing unlocked before Meph.

This change would’ve been fine if they had just let us use the existing red star/diamond currencies.

In "Princess Connect: Re:Dive", tower events did did resume at whatever floor you got to previously. However, the towers were always the same for lower levels. However, each new event added new floors that only the whales and krakens could beat on release.

Question for ya. Why do they just phase characters out of the game rather than adjusting stats so that you can use whatever characters you want for a big variety of teams rather than force you to keep using boring cookie cutter characters you’re not interested in? Like, I’d love to be able to use iceman, guardian, doc Oc, etc but can’t because of the stats. Just a thought

Is the red star change stupid yes. But I understand some type of logic to it.

But I dont understand is why the fuck cant there be like 6 dedicated slots in the elite store for red star and dark star promotions.

Like 1 line (3 units) that are dark diamond upgraded only
1 line that is dark promotion units that changes to extra dark diamond promotion slots if you have 2 or less dark promos avalible.

Then you get like 6 rows (2 for 1 diamond, 2 for 2 diamonds and 2 for 3 diamonds [18 units] for diamond upgrades.
Then you have 3 lines (9 units) that are only gold/silver promo units. That like drak promos if you have less then 9 units that need red stars this slots get converted to more 1 diamond promo units.

They should've bottlenecked red stars and diamonds instead of doing the overpowered disaster if they wanted to create a spending gap. Doing both at the same time would just ruin the game even more.

red star/diamond changes are not good. it made sense for the other stores with legacy credits. it dosent for red stars/diamonds. late game players earned the right to the benefits of the current system after years of investment. time and money. this would remove that benefit. its a change for the sake of change that plays into their agenda. an agenda that is not beneficial to us, the players. it is moving the goal post. one of the things they do best, and one of the reason their player base despises them as a company.

This is the third leaderboard in a row which requires logging in at a specific time to compete on in-game inputs (second arena based this coming week, plus 15th run of negative zone last week). As well as being a pain for many, this can be inequitable, for example in China you would have needed to run negative zone 4am-5am to do a 15th run

I don't understand what they are saying? Are you saying they are not going to have the spot where you you can get diamonds from the spot it's at now or is that going to be an additional place to get diamonds

A huge improvement to red stars would be to consolidate the currency there. I was hoping they would have been part of the currency consolidation, but they screwed that up.

I've I've 2 currencies in the thousands and I dont see ever having the need to spend them again. And I'm not even a high level end game player yet.

This problem is only gonna get worse if new characters stars and diamonds are bought through the chapter store instead of the elite store. All the currency will be useless except maybe for completionists.

That’s the one thing I will never understand about MSF. Every time, every single time, the game is going in a good direction and players are actually happy, Scopely has to find a way to make the game worse in some way. Just because Scopely has some good will; that doesn’t mean Scopely has to race to cash it in asap.

Edit - The correct solution is there should be no elite store. You should just be able to click on any character and direct promote them without having to wait on rng.
