The Chibson Les Paul - Are They Worth It? Chinese Gibson Les Paul Clone Guitar Review.

These are really firewood loaded with imitation pickups....

FINALLY,Someone who doesn't dump all over these.I have a few cheap copies,Gibson/Fender,and dollar for dollar,I think some of these are pretty damn good,especially if you're willing to do a few upgrades and corrective work.Great "honest"video.

The head stock logo, the tuners, the nut, the truss rod cover, the pickup rings, the screws in those pickup rings, the bridge is all a dead give away its a fake.😅
BUT I bought one the fake Gibson Byrdland and it was awesome after I swapped out the pickups it was awesome !

I paid for Guangdong's biggest chitar factory to make a LH Yamaha SG-2000. I got the original plans from the internet, had it translated from Japanese to Chinese. So they couldn't possible eff it up ? Right ? Wong ! It was like Neil's Chibson. Totally trash pickups and electronics etc. They even botched up the symetricality of the body !!!! Oh, and it weighs 7 KG !!!! (It should weight around 3kg). Just don't get a Chitar, OK.

I got a chibson les paul and a chibson sg, I changed out tuners and pickups and put a bone nut on the LP i put in cheap guitar madness pickups in them. They both had full size pots and i saw no need to change them out. They stay in tune well and sound and play great. I see no need to put more than 125 bucks into them. I am in about 370 per guitar.

I have a Chibson Custom that looks and sounds awesome. I’ve never met anyone that could tell it’s not authentic. Even the guitar store couldn’t tell.

I got 4 of these Chibsons and 4 Chepiphone and Chenders. I did a lot of upgrades got all Real Gibson parts pots pick ups and its A Chinese made Gibson and Epiphone and Fender they stay me all its lives. Jackson snd Ibanez. I gig with all my guitars bruh. I dont care about ppls opinions. I just play and make my money i dont even answer questions. I hate ppl but i love chinese made guitars. I own them LTD Charvelle Charvette,And other knock offs

I bought such a guitar, the frets are uneven, I will have to take the guitar to a luthier, and I also had to pay 73 € in douane. the body of the guitar is narrower and the guitar is much lighter than a real Gibson. the workmanship is great.

I think at that price point i would rather invest in an Epiphone Les Paul. At least i am covered if its trash, of there are a ton of issues

My Chinese made Les Paul is awesome. I put Grover Deluxe Vintage tuners and Epiphone Alnico Pro humbuckers on it. Plays and sounds just like my friends Les Paul Standard. 😁👍

I'd consider a signature knock off (ace frehley, mike ness) and just hang it on the wall. otherwise, the extra work and cost is not worth it, considering it has minimal resale value.

WOW that sounds terrible, the fret sprouting would make me sell it. The genuine parts replacements would cost more than the guitar, lol

Just bought a custom designed 3 Pickup Black beauty Les Paul with white pickup surrounds , amazing value and build quality for 200 pounds sterling, will change the pickups ,but they are ok ,stays in tune ,looks killer .

$350 plus 10 hours of fret work, $200 in pickups, and you're getting close to an Eastman sb59.

I don't think naming it a Gibson is ethical as you would think they would want to start their own name and be proud of it, but the biggest irony is the people that bash Chinese guitars and say I only buy American when they comment either using a mostly Chinese made or parts in their phone or computer and a whole houseful of Chinese products and driving import cars but oh no they can't have an import guitar is one of the most idiotic views I have seen in my life, if it is of decent quality and right for the money it is a good product regardless where it came from but I do not agree with counterfeiting anything

I can get an epi for 200 and it will sound better, I mean it doesn't say gibson but anybody you fool that it is real wouldn't know anyway.

Gibson is great guitar. Why than Chinese replica? I don't want to over pay my guitar. Why? I'm not a gig player. I'm just garage player. I play for myself and I don't get paid for it. That's the reason and I'm ok with it...enjoy!

If you've ever wanted to own a high-end guitar because you've always liked the style or the concept of owning one, but don't want to pay the high-end price, why not? Who cares if it's not authentic, and as long as you aren't trying to resell one as an authentic Gibson, I say go for it. Maybe we can get Gibson to do better for less?

I'm just curious. Neil said that he wouldn't use one of these for gigging. I wonder why. If you've changed the hardware and electronics and they are sturdily built, why wouldn't you use one for gigging rather than possibly subjecting one of your real Les Pauls to getting knocked over on stage and acquiring dents and dings. I like the see the natural play wear on guitars like SRV's number one Strat, but to me, dents, dings and chunks taken out of the guitar due to just plain old careless handling are a huge turn off to me.

Mine is not the sunburst model seen here. It has a brown burst type finish, and Seymour Duncan pickups. I'll have to pull them out next time I change the strings to see if they say what model(s) they are. If I determine that they need to go, I'll most likely replace them with PAFS or Burst Buckers or something similar that will make her sing the blues and rock the house down!
