Chris I am very impressed at the ease and fluency with which you are able to speak Urdu not an easy language to learn for an english speaking person!!

I stayed at the Avari Towers many times between 1988 - 1991 when posted to the British High Commission in Islamabad. It's always been a great hotel. I was lucky enough to eat at the home of the owner - Byram Avari - several times. I always had the same car and driver each time I visited, because he knew where I needed to visit. We loved our time living in Pakistan.

Hey Chris, Careem currently has become a less popular app for rides, and you will get cheaper rides and quicker on the Yango app. I've used it extensively both in Karachi and Islamabad and it is a very cheap way to get around the city. MUCH more cheap and reliable than the aiport taxis and other private taxis in the country.
