Keep in mind up until this point most people probably saw Hawkeye as the weakest avenger, the least deadly. This shows that entire time, he was just holding back.

I just LOVE Hiroyuki Sanada!! Disappointed that this was just a cameo scene for him. Such a waste for Hiroyuki. A longer sword fight battle between these two would've been epic!!

This could’ve been something really. If they did the black widow movie sooner then they could’ve showed Hawkeye see black widow murdering all those people and help her turn her life around. And if they had done a hawkeye movie or a ronin movie they could’ve had this scene at the end where black widow helps hawkeye from his lowest point
