My take on this video is, It doesn't matter how much u make what matters is how much ur able to save and what you do on the money u save. The income to debt ratio for nurses is around 40% plus or minus which can be manageable but imho any debt is stressful, so keep ur debt to a minimum to nothing lol! . The system is designed for you to keep having debts and your debt goes higher as you age, lets say 30-40% of ur paycheck is out the door and it hasn't even landed ur hands is ridiculous and should be avoided. I quit Nursing after 5 years as i wanted to pursue other ventures and make more money. This video is informative and gives u a birds eye view on what to expect. To anyone reading this, Its a big world out there make sure u bring a much bigger dream and bolder ambition when u decide to come out. Good Luck.
Ответитьthank you sa info po

Don’t be too impressed with Pinoys who have all the branded material things, you’ll never know they are hardly enjoy their expensive houses because they have to work 12++ hr shifts working more than 5days a week,
Seen it all the time, learn to be practical and have a balanced life with family and Church
Maganda noon.....ngayon.....looks like warzone!.....siguro 10 years from now gaganda muli!
You can’t beat the Washington State pag summer time. We hve so many greens and weather is manageable compared to sa cali pag summer it gets hot and wild fire.
Saan kayo sa California? Parang Northern dahil you mention Oakland,Daly City...I hope you are in San Ramon
Hello sir Harry! Previous student here. Lpu
Ответитьmalaki rin pasahod as a caregiver..pero mataas din ang tax.

I'm a retired US Marine and a nurse for almost 20 years now. I'm currently working with the homeless population in LA county. I've been everywhere overseas and within the US. Most of the homeless population here in Los Angeles are coming from conservative states where help is limited. They moved here for the weather and CA's welfare system. When it comes to crime, no CA city is in the top 5 according to 2024 US news. CA is a big proponent of labor unions not like other states that have the right to work law. The things that you love about CA is possible due to CA's political system. From environmental protection that restricts offshore drilling and laws protecting state parks. Lastly CA is one of the leaders in immigration and women's rights. As a contractor or an immigrant worker you will have allies and help is everywhere. Your channel is entertaining but please stay away from politics. It's very divisive. There's no perfect state in the US. For me the positive outweighs the negative. I've been all over the US and wherever I go. CA always draws me back.
We arrived in California summer of 1996. Sa Oxnard kami nag stay for a few months and I loved the weather there. My family then moved to southwest Houston later that year, Sugar Land TX to be exact. We've been here since. Cost of living in California is very high, yes mataas ang sweldo pero mataas naman ang mga basic life necessities....lets take example yung gas ng sasakyan. Right now, according to AAA. Texas is $2.63 per gallons, thats the state average. The other day, I paid $ 2.39 per gallong to fill up my tank. In Califonia, the state average is $ 4.34, so it maybe a little less in some areas but that is still almost 2 dollars difference.
In 2018, I bought my house here for $155K. That same year, my girlfriend at the time and myself visited one of her friends in Mission Viejo just east of Newport Beach. They were getting ready to move to GA at the time, because cost of living was getting a little high. They sold their house for $750K. Same size as my house here in Texas.
Comparing California and Texas is like comparing apples to oranges though...or any state.
$20/hr sa Cleveland, but afford mo bumble ng bahay. Sa Cali, $30/hr, hirap pang makabayad sa apartment.
California has beaches, mountains, desert, sand dunes but expensive.
Obvious ba
50 or 40 years ago Maganda sa Cali.
I’ve known so many Pinoy families moved out of cali after years of living there due to cost of living.. masasabi ko lang kung gusto dun maghataw kayo sa work OT avail house if you can and paid early but far from metro area like what he said na mtaas an cost of living then later sell the house for highs and move to different cheaper states na mabilis mo ma avail and value for the money and yun extra put in another property of business.
Go to cali at your own risk.. because planning in life change thru time.. don’t forget during 2008 collapse and how pinoys get affected. California is a decaying state ,even a lot of companies move out of california.
Crime rate is one of the issue there …so think twice especially if you were building family.
There are two tales of Filipino nurses in America, it doesn't matter what states they are in. First one are those nurses whose mere expertise is to take care of patients, but extremely idiots when it comes to handling finances. For instance, there are so many nurses who have been in the US for years, but their situation seem like they just arrived a couple of years ago. Why, they love acting rich and love to keep spending money on things they don't even need.
Two, those nurses who are both smart at what they do and extremely smart with money - these are nurses who do not only save a lot of money but also pay their houses in 10-15 years; these are nurses who never left balance on their credit cards and only buy cars they can pay outright.
Registered Nurses in the US make a lot of money. Some are maybe getting more than others depending on location. Every RN has the ability to get rich, sadly, this is not the case for all. Reasons are: many of them immediately have this feeling of being wealthy and actually act like they already are way earlier than actually becoming one; they made casino as their place of worship; got addicted to drugs; did something against the law; allowed others, such as bf/gf, to manipulate them, etc.
Be smart nurses. If you have been in the US at least 15 years and still paying mortgage let alone renting, paying car/s, with balances on credit cards, it's time to change your mindset. You don't want to be in a position where you will say, "I should have", "I could have", "I would have". The time is now, be smart.
ОтветитьDati ako dyan sa California 1993 matagal ako dyan tumira naayaw ko dyan sa California mahal ang traffic napaka init pag summer it’s not good to live anymore lalo nagin ang mamahal ng bilihin not good
Ответитьmaganda ang Cali pero kapalit nyan mahal lahat.kahit living a simple life ..mahal pa din.
Thank you very much!
Proud to be from California, the best State in the Union..👍👍👍
This is the reason why we have expensive health insurance.. Hospital and nursing facilites should be hiring more health care provider instead of bumping up their salary to justify the workload that they had, i honestly think nurses in the bay area is overly compensated.
Our standard of leaving esp the middle class is degrading too much when they increase the salary on particular group people and union capitalized on it cause they ripped the benefit too much..
Example is SF, union in the next 3 years will bump up the salary of its worker to about 13%, goodluck finding money to pay for that.. I see alot of store closing when the city try to milk as much as they can to resident
Maganda talaga california 🙏🙏
LOL😂😂😂😂 pinoy na feelingera😂😂😂
ОтветитьBeautiful state pero masyadong mahal tumira dyan sa Cali. Taas ng tax, gas at ibang bilihin. Poor law and order. Ang taas ng crime rate, drug use at homelessness, and yet leaders there refuse to do anything about the border and illegal immigration. Sayang, California is turning into a disaster!
ОтветитьGreetings sir harry 👋🏻👋🏻 tanong lang po ako kung hiring po ang cali ng nurses from other states na may significant experience only from nursing home (approx 3 yrs). Salamat po and more power to you and your family 🙏🙏🙏
Cost of living in Bay Area is high Malaki nga sweldo ng nurse pero mahal din ang mga bahay at bilhin dyan ay tumaas n there’s no 300 to 500 thousands ang price ng bahay dahil nsa Milyon n

ОтветитьWeather lang talaga ang pros. Dami cons. Kahit mababa ang bayad sa other states, low naman cost of living and taxes. Taxes is huge here, so be smart. Save money in a tax-exempt funds to protect yourself from too much tax. Union can be a con at times. Have work in hospitals with no union and working conditions are generally better. Have seen nurses transfer from union to non-union hospitals because of working conditions (no nurse techs).
Ответитьwow nice pala jan sa chico sir, watching from bakersfield ca
Pros very good weather yes pay is higher pero yun take home is about the same compared to washington. Cons too expensive too many crimes everyday shoplifting.
California is nice sa north area. Anywhere south MADUMI dami homeless at basura
Well not all Bro! Nowadays it's not ok to live in California.
Hi sir I been always want to work and stay in California but too many taxes and taxes are too high. We moved back again in Seattle Washington.
I know you came from Canada before, are you a US Citizen already?
No need to buy luxury cars as most are money pits maintaining and repairing them except Lexus if you really want a luxury car that would last a long time. Other luxury cars made in US and Europe are junk after 4-5 years of ownership. Lexus runs forever, as well as Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Subaru. Compared to nurses in other states, pay is much higher and nurse to patient ratio is great like you said. California started the safe nurse-patient ratio and many states followed. California has the strongest RN union in the US. Cost of housing is high in California but groceries, utilities and other things are the same as other States. If nurses just buy a modest house and modest reliable cars, there is a high probability that they can retire early if they are smart in saving and investing their money. Sadly, most are deep in debt trying to keep up with their co-workers in buying luxury bags, jewelry and cars that make them poor. They look rich but are actually poor. It is better to look poor but rich, comfortable and retired, making money in sleep. Why hustle until your 50s, 60s or 70s? Things just collect dust. I'd rather collect dividends. I am at my happiest when I see my money grow. I will only buy a new car again when my 2 old Toyota cars cannot be fixed or won't run anymore. Paint on the truck is a little faded, so what? It gets me from point A to point B. Friends ask why I don't buy a nice new car like they did. I told them my old cars run like new, why buy a new one? Registration fee and car insurance are much lower on paid-off old cars. Problem is most people seek validation from others that they have made it and are successful by showing off. Keep in mind, poor trying to look rich is loud, wealthy is quiet. 😊
Hello guys! Sa mga California nurses, ano sa tingin nyo ano Pros and Cons in living in Cali?❤❤❤
