Hey im trying to install monterey on a 2017 macbook, I got the installer to work on the usb but when i try to install the OS and press continue nothing happens. All the other options work though

What happens when “an error occurred erasing the disk” showed up?

I did use the disk but when I got to download Ventura. I was told my drive was in comparable. I have had Ventura before but no I can't. used open core before but . I even erased the drive but still in compatible.

Does this work with any Mac os? I have Mac os lion on a 2006 Mac pro. Does this require an internet connection as well? I am able to get the installer on another PC and then I just put it on a USB that way.

thank you again! I tried ten times to install Ventura on an external drive that has already Big Sur and Monterey. but Ventura never finished the installation! I don't understand it and sent to apple but never got an answer and on the net people talk about which HD you should buy which is stupid cos why Ventura would need a different drive that the one I got and works for Ealier OS,!
