Hi, I know this video was from awhile back but I've just finished High school and have been working hard to afford. to travel Asim not interested in studying yet, I fear however because I'm 18 I'm probably too young for Contiki aren't I?
ОтветитьHi I'm new to traveling and I was concerned that they won't bring us to enough good activities. Will I be able to trust the company to get my money's worth or will I need to do a lot of independent research and navigate the cities myself?
ОтветитьThe most important thing is to save more money and go on a Trafalgar Tour .
ОтветитьContiki are literally just full of unfriendly serious Ozzie’s. Everything is so expensive and after the trip the bus driver and tour leader expect a large tip even though you’ve already spent about 10grand in total
ОтветитьHi Corey great content, just wanted to ask what is name of the background music?
ОтветитьI'm watching this years later, but you're a lifesaver! I didn't even know about downloading the brochure and seeing that information about joining other groups. Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьThinking of traveling between August and September . For USA National Park?
ОтветитьI'm 35, do you think I'd get along with a group of 14 going to Yellowstone and Utah camping trip?? Will they all be early 20's or even teenagers?
ОтветитьI noticed your degree. I'm from Calgary too!
I have questions.
Where do we get our Visas?
Where do we meet the tour group?
What about travel and health insurance?
I done a South Africa tour with Contiki a few years ago and was pretty disgusted. Two of our tour group members were coloured and the tour guide would treat them differently to the rest of the group and even ignore them at times. I could not believe what I was witnessing and had to intervene at times, because it just became embarrassing and uncomfortable.
The worst part was when the guide and driver were trying to convince the group that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist. I complained to Contiki about it, but they said the guide and driver were subcontractors, but will take the feedback onboard. The interesting part is that the tour guide happens to be in one of the photos Corey has uploaded. I've done other Contiki tours without a problem and have not witnessed similar things, but I guess it may just be a South Africa thing.
Also I would highly recommend Contiki and other group tour companies, you normally tend to have a great experience.
The is the complete opposite of my idea of how to see the world. Literally travelling around in a bubble of drunk tourists without really touching the local cultures. But it's good for travel amateurs that just want to party I suppose. Each to their own.
ОтветитьGreat video, this was helpful :) I've been looking this kind of trip for young adults (I'm 33) to meet new people. But super long travel days and partying is not my thing. I would rather attend "a wellness trip", maybe yoga or other sport activities, I like to be active but also relax.. Any tips?
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьThank you I have looking on website will get my passport frist book
ОтветитьHey, would you say it’s a pro or a con to travel via train on a trip instead of a bus? Does it sacrifice connections?
ОтветитьThank you for the video, i was looking for someone had an experience with contiki.
So, I'm always solo traveler but i decided to do something new like group travel next year to Europe, my problem is i have some social issues, i mean I'm always lonely and still i couldn't go with people and having normal and free talk ( like language barrier)
So. do you think the contiki is good for me with my issue?
Thank you Corey. I am 35 this month and have always wanted to do a Contiki. I just decided now that seeing as it is my last chance I want to do this. The spend advice was a big one for me because I really dont want to under budget.
ОтветитьI want to have my own room for my Contiki trip but still want to make friends because I'm travelling alone. Will I be at a disadvantage without a roommate or will it still be easy to make friends?
ОтветитьWhat kind of bags do you take with you? Like suitcases or is that inconvenient?
ОтветитьHi there, for the roommates do you get paired with the same sex ?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. Answered so many questions. 🥳
ОтветитьHey how do you transfer from one city to another when in a Contiki Tour?
ОтветитьOmg. After seeing your video. I really want to do it more than ever
ОтветитьI might travle with them i never been abroad i gonna go for it next summer
ОтветитьCorey I'm a bit of an introvert, and whilst I like a couple of nights out, I'm definitely not a party animal. Do you think this might be a problem esp going to europe?
ОтветитьDo you recommend going on a tour in winter?
ОтветитьCheers for this, good tip on the modular travel
ОтветитьThanks for putting my mind at ease with travelling solo
ОтветитьHey. Great video! Really helped me with some of the questions I had. I wanted to know are there any other group trips that you could suggest for Europe for 20s to 30s. The contiki ones are just not fitting my dates unfortunately. This would really really really help!! Thank you. :)
ОтветитьJust stumbled on this video as im planning a trip in vietnam! Thanks for all the tips! Cheers from a fellow UCalgary grad!
ОтветитьA greeting from South Korea. This is very good video which makes my memory back. In fact I had my Contiki almost 30 years ago. It was 20 something days Europe tour. We used camping tents as accommodation. So much fun I had despite I was only Korean in the group.
ОтветитьThis was awesome! Super helpful :) Thankyou
Ответитьjust missed out I'm 36
ОтветитьAwesome video! Your channel is the best about Contiki information! I already noticed that have some trips more focused in parties and other not so much, do you know if that is a way to identify this in the website?
ОтветитьHad the best time of my life on Contiki. Very nostalgic memories ❤️
ОтветитьWhat are you're thoughts on sharing a room with someone on these trips?
ОтветитьLove the video Corey, some great tips. I'm doing the European adventurer trip in June/July and was unsure how many people would be on it. Any reason why it's 50 for the summer trips? The 2 contikis I did which included our trip in Vietnam both had around 37 people which I thought was a good amount. 50 would make it very hard to get to talk to everyone.
ОтветитьOmg, after seeing ur video, now I have to try out contiki and the others to travel to Europe. I’m already trying to start saving
ОтветитьThank you for this.
Ответитьinformative video, thank you! So would you have to book a room in the same hotel? if you wanted to have your own space?
ОтветитьDo you get designated 1 roommate for the whole trip or can you switch roommates during the trip?
Ответитьwhat was the general age demographic like, closer to 18 or 35??
ОтветитьWhere are most people from in your trips? I heard that most contiki travelers are Australian for some reason.
ОтветитьGreat video!!
ОтветитьThank you so much for such great information specially coming from a guy. I think this will be a great bday present for my son. 💕
ОтветитьGood guide
Ответитьjust got back from a trip 16 day trip - #1 hit real hard
Ответитьjust booked my trip to England and Scotland this summer. Can't wait!
ОтветитьSuch good advice with the modular trip point. I just came off a Contiki the best of Balkans that was overall awesome however being a modular trip I felt half the group were disconnected and tired when we were just getting started beaming with energy and excitement
Something to look out for next time
