I have been a strict carnivore for 3 months and still have not lost anything I have practiced low carb and intermittent fasting for over 14 years. I have autoimmune diseases, and cervical migraines that create fatigue. What can I do to see results
ОтветитьUgh, i almost never post comments but this video just brought back so many memories of how i used to struggle.
Seriously, for years it felt like i was banging my head against a wall with my weight. Tried every diet under the sun, bought so many gadgets that just ended up collecting dust, you know the drill.
Felt like i was just doomed to feel bad about myself and have no energy.
It's exhausting always feeling like you're failing, or like you're missing some secret everyone else knows. I was so over it, just feeling defeated. Then, I was actually just venting to a friend one day about how nothing worked and she mentioned a book she'd heard about. At first I kinda rolled my eyes, like 'great, another one', but she was pretty insistent it was different. I think it was called Secret Fat Melting by a Henry Gray, or something like that you can google it anyway. Took me a while to even look it up.
Honestly, I didnt expect much. But when I finally got around to reading it, something just... clicked. It wasnt like those other 'lose weight fast' things at all. It was more about understanding how my body actually works and changing my whole outlook, not just starving myself or doing crazy workouts i hated. It made me realize a lot of what i thought i knew about weight loss was just wrong or incomplete. It wasn't about a magic pill but more like a real shift in how I approached everything.
It took time, its not an overnight miracle or anything, but slowly things started to change for the better. I actually started feeling good, had more energy, and the weight did come off, but it felt... different this time. More sustainable, i guess?
Anyway, just wanted to share because this video touched on some of that feeling of being stuck. Maybe my experience can help someone else feel a bit less alone in it. It's tough out there with all the conflicting advice.
I’m from India 🇮🇳 we follow Dr. Berg ❤❤❤
ОтветитьCalories are still important while in ketosis. I've been keto for over a year trying to fix diabetes and fatty liver. While i reversed the diabetes to a degree, liver is still fatty because I've never been in enough of a deficit to clear it out.
ОтветитьThank you. Always a pleasure listening to Dr Berg.
ОтветитьWhat if you have chronic kidney disease, they say don’t eat red meat. Is that also not true?
ОтветитьI really really wanted to listen to this, love Dr B and yourself, but the adverts...
Omg, my stress levels went through the roof just trying to listen to information.
I will have to save it for another time.
37 mins in and I can't cope xx
salt was hardly available during human evolution. why is it so important? what did our ancestors do?
ОтветитьThis was one of the best learning video I’ve seen.
I wasn’t a big fan of Dr. Berg until now. Not sure why.
But this was a great interview.
I’ve been off and on Carnivore for a few years, but this video was really informative of how our body works better with carnivore, for me.
So excited to see you interview Dr. Berg! He was the very first influencer I started watching that helped me lose 45 lbs and changed my life with healthy Keto and Intermittent fasting 🤩
ОтветитьIn January 2020, I bought $1000 worth of 5 gallon buckets of whole organic wheat berries & oat groats, to soak/sprout & make the best old-fashioned foods for my family. I can see why people don't want to do all that extra work, but really, they have to work to get money to buy bread and oatmeal and pasta, and their work hours end up getting them far inferior food than if they make it themselves at home, then they have to spend extra money on sick care and don't live as long, much shorter healthspan. If I don't want to do the extra work of homemade grain foods then I don't eat grains those days. Easy KETO days. But Jesus said wheat and bread are great, bcz they are. If we get the true organic old-fashioned quality grains & prep methods for best nutrition versions.
ОтветитьI wish his app was available on android. Thank you for the content
ОтветитьSo glad to hear Dr. Berg speak of his experiences. Especially about sugar. I am on health journey. Trying to stay off all medication. Watching my blood work thru Function Health. It is amazing that it starts with baby steps and now I am on full sprint to better eating and moving. These channels give me encouragement and I want to encourage others.
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьYou don’t need to punish yourself to lose weight. You need to understand yourself. I wish I learned that sooner, but I’m grateful I finally did — through one book that shifted my mindset and gave me back control. If you’re open to reading something real, it’s The Buried Formula for Weight Loss by Josh Moore. Your future self will thank you.
ОтветитьWhat if you already are near zero carbs but still have a somewhat fatty liver?
ОтветитьI do all these things and weightloss is not effortless, it's non existent.
ОтветитьThe pod cast host had the amazing opportunity to interview the awesome Dr. Berg, and she RUSHED THROUGH, kept to a script! 😮 be REAL. Appreciate him
Ответить6-9-2025. DR. BERG. I have a serious question for you, please. I do Keto and I.F. I am strict with it, too, as I have diabetes plus non alcoholic cirrhosis of my liver. I have issues with diarrhea. I have had MEDICAL TESTING done and the results say that I have " too much fatty protein ". Isn't that diagnosis contrary to the Keto diet ? I absolutely do NOT overeat my fatty meat. Example....one porkchop. Example......4 pork ribs. Plus, I am only eating OMAD. Will you please explain why the medical results diagnose me in this manner, Dr. Berg? THANK YOU.
ОтветитьI have been on keto for 3 months and lost 10kg following dr berg's videos and advice ❤
ОтветитьIs there anyone better than Dr. Berg 🤍🤗Love it!
ОтветитьDr Berg.... You are so handsome!!!
ОтветитьAll that's sugar isn't sweet.
ОтветитьRed meat is good, but do not forget white meat like fish and seafood in general. We need different type of meat as well, because they have different nutritional values that we also need. Greetings from Norway, The seafood nation🇧🇻 Love this podcast❤
ОтветитьDr. Berg is NOT A DOCTOR!
ОтветитьI live mainly on lamb as a carnivore I’m not such a big lover of beef - lamb shoulder is my favourite 🤩
ОтветитьI live in New Zealand and there are more beef and sheep than people.
Ответить‘Mental Wellness Exercises For Seniors’ are something I’m adding to my routine. ♀️
ОтветитьLove your videos. I have been doing carnivore/keto/mostly looking at the labels on the the foods and I lost 24kg this year. I did a full body scan recently and it showed amazing healthy results. Keep sharing amazing videos like this. Dm me if you want to talk about what I have been up to. Stay safe. ❤
ОтветитьIm in menopause so i cant eat dark chocolate, it makes my body smell.
ОтветитьDr Berg is wonderful. I have been following him for over 10 years and he has helped me and so many people I know.
ОтветитьI started keto because of Dr Berg. Lost 30 pounds, got rid of my heart palpitations and a whole bunch more.
Then I converted to carnivore, but I still watch Dr. Berg’s videos. You’re still one of my favorite personalities.😊
a question - how do people who follow high carb low fat diets loose weight (a lot of weight indeed and im not talking about other health issues they might be going through due high carb intake) if weight loss has to do with reducing insulin and carbs is what rises the insulin?
ОтветитьTy Soo much it's been a few months falling of🎉f wagon with carnavore. Strict this last week even waking up where I was a 170-180 bs getting 124, and lower. Throughout day they've been much better!!!
ОтветитьHow can we afford or source out some of these foods ?..In addition most of us don’t live on farms! As a carnivore I feel like these suggestions are almost unattainable, which is kind of discouraging 😢
ОтветитьWhat about potato starch used for feeding homemade yogurt?
ОтветитьOnly thing I disagree & that is hormone D supplementation.
"21 is optimal, and if you are higher than that by 10 or 20 or 30 points based on sun exposure and eating foods that naturally contain it, that's just fine.
But when you're well above 50 artificially by taking pills that somebody told you is vitamin D, you are well into hypercalcemia territory (too much calcium in the blood).
How does that happen?
Vitamin D's job is to PULL CALCIUM out of the gut. The body has to match the amount of D in the blood with calcium.
If you take too much, it can cause hypercalcemia and that can cause bone loss and more...
"Hypercalcemia can cause a variety of symptoms. The most common are fatigue, aches and pain in the muscles and joints, and problems with concentration or memory. If left untreated, hypercalcemia can lead to serious complications.
For example, if the bones continue to release calcium into the blood, osteoporosis, a bone-thinning disease, can result. If urine contains too much calcium, crystals may form in the kidneys. Over time, these crystals may combine to form kidney stones."

ОтветитьSo many women don’t understand that if your protein intake is too high it will raise glucose and suppress ketones. Eat your biggest meal packed with protein EARLY, and keep protein at 65-80 grams a day, drop carbs to 20 grams or lower, BANG UP fats and stop eating after 3 pm. Ignore calories.
ОтветитьBeen carnivore for 11.5 months. Lost 70 pounds. I’m generally OMAD because it works really well for me. It was fasting that jump started my weight loss. I do random fasting frequencies. Sometimes I just eat one meal a day for several days in a row eating til I’m full. Generally running between 2100 to 3000 calories. Then sometimes I’ll skip a day, 2, or 3, and sometimes I do a five day. I feel at LEAST as good as I did in my 20’s. I’m 51. I’ve reversed snoring and sleep apnea, lower extremity swelling, mental fogginess with mild memory issues, my tender root canal tooth stopped being tender. Almost ZERO plaque forms on my teeth. TONS and tons more energy, so much so I actually want to exercise. Joint pain is gone. Improved vision verified with ophthalmic exam. So so many wonderful things.
ОтветитьGreat interview. What any don't appreciate, Quality meat makes you feel full with less of it, so its not really that much more expensive.
ОтветитьI highly recommend this podcast as one of the best in the field. The guest's analysis and recommendations are insightful and align with what I've learned over the past two years. At 58, I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to these insights. One tip to consider is adding fermented vegetables with red meat, a suggestion from Dr. Sean O'Meara that has worked well for me. Best of luck to everyone on their fitness journeys!👌💪🏼👍👍
ОтветитьI do not appreciate the false impression you're creating for your listeners. This is not an interview and it should not be portrayed that way. I have lost interest in your content now because of this.
ОтветитьI love Dr. Berg, but not all of us can afford expensive meat :/
ОтветитьThis has been one of my favorite interviews - so much great information and got me pumped to get back on the wagon 💯%
ОтветитьDr bergs app doesn’t work ?
ОтветитьDr. Lustig, dr. Jamnadas, dr. berg. Rena you are killing it!! Keep it up!
ОтветитьLast time I fell off carnivore it was when I had trouble sleeping, and when I woke up to pee I passed out in bathroom and landed on my butt. I thought it was cortisol … but after this I think it’s salt. Time to turbo the salt. I workout hard and walk a lot.
ОтветитьThanks
