I had the same problem on a new build

the latest driver has been crashing my system in a set interval of time on a 2080S
To be fair something with the latest version of windows is also playing a role as i had to roll back both to get a useable pc again. the latest windows patch had been on my pc 2 days at least and the issue only started once driver was installed

It happened to me i have a gtx 1060 6gb laptop and when i updated the drivers the same thing happened but for some reason it's just stuck so i had to reinstall windows

This exact thing happened to me. Rebooted and it was fine, new driver installed and everything. Now, depending on the game, I have crashes every 30 minutes. It’s so frustrating. I tried rolling back to a previous driver after doing a ddu and nothing changed. Getting really sick of it all.

AMD is very well having problems as I have a RX 6750 XT and my PC randomly black screens when Full screening, screen shotting, or split screening

it happens to me like every 5 driver updates, even when i had gtx 1060 a year ago

Does anyone have a fix? I have this problem rn all I can do is enter bois and the screen works fine but I can't open up my pc

565.90 seems stable for me so any other driver seems to crash in games, black screen or freeze my pc

AMD have fastest cards.......but nvidia have best programers. That's why nvidia win race. They have ussualy 10-20% worse number performance. but they win by cheap tricks to have more fps....by the cost of quality....When u pick Nvidia u got 100% of performance ant start...it ussualy didnt get better...but amd cards get 10-20% and blast nvidia after they solve some driver problems.

Updated my rtx 3060 now my gpu is bricked,y old gpu works fine but when I use the 3060 it just shows mouse on a black screen

There's also an issue with NVIDIA drivers updating Windows from 10 to 11. It will black screen during the installation, but if you leave it alone and let it finish, it'll fix itself.

As a huge Nvidia fan and consumer I will say they suck right now they’re so focused on ai for the world gaming is almost second hand and it’s really noticed I have a 2060 super and with the newest driver installed I’m getting I’d say at least 10 percent less performance I was 6 months ago from the same gpu and I take insane care of my gpu and don’t push it often so it’s not a wear and tear kinda downgrade

have a 5070 and this keeps happening to me, i had to go into windows recovery cause it happened after an update and the update didnt complete

I mean, tbh, my previous gpu 6800 xt did have driver issues, I had to use 2024.12.01 drivers until my RX 9070 XT arrived, what happened was that in desktop use chrome kept freezing my pc, the mouse updated it's location 1 per 3 seconds and everything was dirt slow, until I closed chrome. but then again, no black screen, no missing compute units, no crashes, so AMD is quite good. ps. haven't had any issues with the 9070 xt or it's drivers.

I wish there had been search results for this because I spent a lot of time troubleshooting this and even bought a new set of RAM thinking my current sticks had gone bad.

yup new driver froze temperature sensing. i rolled back to the previous one, which bugged out too for a minute.

I had one that completely erased my color settings changed my entire color output so now it will never look the same 😢
