General Rommel was summoned to Normandy weeks before the landing and found it to be weakly defended, and had reinforcements and defences increased and strengthened. That made the landing
deadly for the allies. The Germans expected the allies to land at Calais under George Patton, but Eisenhower decided to use him as a decoy instead.

This is a great video, but the music ruins it and the announcer sounds like he’s talking about a boxing match. They tried to make it like it was a movie, but this was brutal reality and deserved better representation. I guess they just didn’t know any better back in those days. Rest in peace, mighty heroes.
