Tried your demat account buying method , need to know there are 2 options
1. Its showing redemption in some particular year
2. Its just showing year and series

Need to know are these all showing the year in which it will be mature or both are different and also once I buy it will RBI buy it from me then once I buy it through demat acc

Sir aapne 3 time factor bole , 5 yrs , 8 yrs , 11 yrs. What is the max time we can hold a SGB ? Is that only 11 yrs or can be extended until I want ? If I can't what are the other processes to buy gold in soft forms ? I wish to hold them for 20 yrs + , which path is right for me ?

SGB khareedna thoda confusing hai.

If you go for older issues via secondary market, interest kamm milega (assuming gold prices have risen). Par primary market (RBI) se khareedo toh thoda extra pay karna hoga.
Not very sure ki how to calculate what's best... How much discount is worth sacrificing the higher interest.
Aap ek refresher video agar banadoge, teaching this calculation .. then it will be very helpful @MMM.

If we turn our gold in small gold bar/biscuit then there is no fear of design outdaing.

If the SBG buyer is the retired person and his incomes in below all the tax slabs which non taxable and then if he gets the capital gains on the SBG investments is it still Taxable below the all tax slabs?
