Why fo Democrats have to cause depressions? Woodrow was a Republican (Democrat of today). Trump has voted Democrat most of his life and even ran as a Democrat. Do we see a pattern here?

The WWII corrected the economy because there were more jobs. There were more jobs because everyone died.

LOL. Boycotts from a few European socialists who got mad because Trump didn't handle Zelensky's Obama color revolution war the way they wanted him to are hardly going to have any serious effect on the US. Let those clowns end the war if they don't like it 🤣

Well if we do the tariffs plus the mass deportations then it would be completely the exact same mistake from the Great Depression, and it would eventually lead to a hypernationalism and a Great War. And I see a lot of Russian bots spreading anti American sentiment online, and rising nationalism globally.

A shame that politicians never learn from history......or do they. Is it a way to shaking things up and then see where the pieces fall. A new world order. George Orwell was right and we all sleepwalk straight into it

I believe the great depression happened due to the dust bowl , too much spending on borrowed money due to the introduction of credit cards and going off the gold standard.

One major flaw in this was the Federal Reserve’s decision to reduce the money supply by 30%, which was a key factor contributing to the onset of the Great Depression.

Partially yes, tariffs didn't start the great depression. A correction of the overpriced stockmarket started a recession. The USA thought they could fix this with additional income from tariffs but US consumers pay for tariffs so the immediate impact isn't job creation but inflation which then caused the great depression.

Today the stock market is also overpriced but it hasn't on it's own corrected itself. So the great depression 2.0 could work in the exact opposite sequence; first Trump's tariffs are introduced to raise prices oj foreign goods (paid for by consumers) in an attempt to stimulate busineses to invest in USA manufacturing. However, that takes years and the immediate reaction of coporations is to wait and see if the markets recover and whether Trump's administration will he stabke enough for investment. Then the long awaited marketn correction happens and maket correction occurs and a market already down 6% goes down another 10% and everyone who still has some profit freaks out and starts selling bringing the market down 50% causing the new great depression.

I liked trump’s most rightist moves, however, I think tariff is leftist move and it would backfire. it would create hard time, but, hard times create strong people and eventually they will bring good time….. but that will take time.

Look, I'm not american, nor was a fan of Trump initially, but I've recently understood more and more what the plans are, and this stage you are all complaining about, which btw is only begining, is part of the plan, a great plan, where the US will emerge greater than ever. Just buckle up a bit and wait. And don't worry about the stock market, that's not a reflection of the real economy, nor is it fueled my real money. You guys just flipped a global switch, and will use the chaos as a ladder, and will rearrange the pieces to your favor. And real productive JOBS will be valued again amongst americans. Let the house of card fall, in the end you'll win BIG. 🎉

Look up a video on YT from Money & Marco about Trump's tariff chaos. 🤓
