The injuries Twins players go through have been so numerous, perhaps its time to look at how these players are training. Are other teams having these kinds of problems with their young players? It just seems weird, and over training or incorrect training is absolutely a thing.

Lose? He didn't play. When he did he was a bottom five player on the active roster. I wish AK the best, but they didn't lose anything.

The Twins organization just saved 1.6 million in payroll and a roster spot for a player who was never on the field.

Just like losing Buxton would be no big deal either. All Buck does is take up space on the roster and payroll too. Now if they can convince Buxton to retire the team would be way ahead.

This team needs to rebuild all the way if they sell off everything they probably have what? a top 6 farm system then they are up for sale new owners have a top 6 farm to work with.

Don’t be so sure Buxton won’t be traded by the deadline. He still has some value, although it is declining year by year. I could see the Yankees taking Buxton and move Judge back to RF with Soto being a free agent.
If the Twins aren’t going to exceed the 130 million dollar payroll threshold, they will have to trade players in order to make any moves this winter. Based on the big contract jumps this coming year for Lopez and Garcia and the projection of salaries for the 13 players the Twins have going through arbitration, they already have a 132 million dollar payroll for next year without adding a single new player. This also factors in Santana, Kepler, Margot, Farmer, Thielbar and DeSclafani leaving as free agents.

Another reminder of how awful the Pohlad/Falvey/Lavine era has been. Can’t keep anyone healthy, make horrible trades for more unhealthy players, keep one of the worst managers in MLB, replace terrible coaches with more terrible coaches, wreck decent players, don’t care if they win as long as their faulty view of analytics justifies their stupidity. At least Lavine is gone, hopefully the Pohlads will go soon, and hopefully they new owner will immediately clean house of Falvey and his awful staff.

I agree with Phil, as a long time Twins fan I didn’t get a thrill or satisfaction out of the Yankee meltdown. The Dodgers have become the new Evil Empire with Ohtani, Betts, Freeman etc.

The Twins always treated Buxton, Lewis, and Correa differently than they did with Kirilloff. The vibe was that they were annoyed with AK’s injuries rather than saying they’d be patient with him. I never thought the Twins actually realized his star potential.

I wish AK the best, but it was insufferable listening to the ''ball guys'' slobber over him before he'd done anything in the league. And now he never will.

Personally think he eventually comes back to baseball in a year or 2 once he's healthy for a while . He probably wasn't gonna be back regardless to the twins anyways sucks but probably good to no longer have to convince ourselves he would break out & stay healthy. Frees up a starting job for a young infielder tho which is nice

He had a lot of potential but injuries never allowed him to be the player he wanted to be, or the Twins. It's a shame

I dont mind smoltz. Joe Davis is annoying. The dude tells a life story about every freaking player that comes up to bat every time they come up to bat. Or if a player makes a big defensive play it turns into "you know growing up mookie betts or whoever blah blah blah no one cares. Just call the fing game
