My TOP 5 favorite "lunchbox" amps for METAL!

why couldn't the engl ironball make it into the top 5? at the fireball you mention that the ironball would be a bit tighter. I would be interested in what you think he is not so good at. or what he's good at xD

What's the best recommended boost for a mt15?

I just purchased the ENGL fireball 25 with a vertical 2x12 MESA cab and a PRS DW CE 24 burnt amber. I am having so much fun.

I am ready to order an amp and I am between fireball 25 ,mt15 and Invective . Right now I think i like more fireball 25 but i am not sure yet.
I play usually down tempo black metal riffs with lots of chords in e standard with lots of delay and reverb so I need good articulation and not definition , which one would you recommend ?

I'd recommend the Revv G20, the amount of features packed into that amp is pretty remarkable.

I’ve owned both the engl iron ball and the MT15. The iron ball is very tight and has loads of gain for modern metal. The MT15 was a little flubby until I put the tube screamer mini in front. I actually ended up loving the tone out of the MT15. Guess it helps being played through the Mesa 2x12.

I'm really digging those little Invective MH amps, the seem to sound great and are fairly cost friendly compared to some of the other options in this class.

Have you played the H&K Tubemeister 18? How does it compare to the deluxe 40?

I bought a second hand orange dark terror with less than 200 dolloars in 2020,it's not bad,but I want a Engl fireball 25 or even savage!

What I wanna know is which one can go through 412s in a medium size room with a loud drummer.?? And be OK loud enough most people say none of them can some people say one of them can

When I turn up the post gain to max or past 8 on dial of peavey invective mh it sounds very bad. Like high pitched weird ice picking bees in tin can sound. I wouldn't use the gain that high but it's a concern to me that it mite be defective. I have the PRS MT-15 that has way more gain and it doesn't break up like that. Running a 2x12 with eminance governors. Anybody else have this issue ? Is this normal ?

Returned my MT15 dude to the chasis rattling once the volume is past one. I do alot of chugging so it is really noticeable at higher volumes. Maybe it was just my Mt 15 inhad some bad luck with. Anyone else with experience this issue 🤔

I just got the MT15. Holy shit. It sounds as good as a 4K boutique amp. It's INSANE.

Totally agree with Jon review's here, especially what he says about eh MT15 noise! I had TWO bloody replacements for my MT15 and ended up getting a refund because even though the amp lead channel was great, right after plugging a noise gate to the effects loop, the amp started making really bad hissing and hum noises! Sounded like an air frying and that persisted even after I removed everything from the noise loop. It literally broke the amp! I had it checked by the store folks myself! So yeah, if you buy that amp, be careful!! Especially when you plug noise gates to the effects loop!

Hi, Your videos are good, can you also make a video that focuses on Punk, Pop Rock, Emo sounding? I noticed that almost all of tour videos focuses on Metal when it comes to heavy stuff, it would be cooler if from Clean, a bit gain(punk), Pop punk, Alternative Rock, Emo or Pop Rock, Screamo, Core, you know, so you can cover all of genres, not everyone likes Metal just saying, hope you dont mind just trying to help your channel, you have lots of amplifiers why not cover all of the genres :)

I just started watching your amp reviews I have listened to all of these except the ENGL. I do like the Orange stuff but I don’t love it. I love Mesa’s sound. Love the EVH stuff. But I think I’m completely in love with those Peavey Invectives and I never thought I would pick Peavy over all the amps out there but those are kick ass amps.

I know it’s late to comment but it’s never to late! I have to say, you do the best and most informative information in demonstrations on amplification information! You are a great guitarist! Keep up the great demonstrations! Love it! Also Orange is my favorite amps next to mesa boogie!
