In the end, the girl dies because the atmosphere is fill with methane gas. This is another worthless story by hack writers that can't make it into the big time.
ОтветитьTotally wonderful piece. Loved the feel and thoughtful movement of time.
Excellent work.
The actress was very good, and also the atmosphere. I found it too open-ended. Why the 20th century controls in a craft that travels faster than the speed of light? Exactly who were those she was going to meet? Were they even human? I wondered if the conflict they had fled had been inter-species; now that would have been interesting. The ending needed something on which the viewer's imagination could create a scenario. If there were clues I missed them. Open endings are fine, but if they are too open the movie just appears unfinished.
ОтветитьThat's the key. You show up letting them know about peace. There's no reason for war. Then you leave a nuclear device and fly off and Sha-BoOm! Happy birthday, aliens!
I'm just kidding. Good video. Dust is a great way for people to see potential full-length films. I'd be interested in reading a book based on this.
The quality of the material on DUST consistently puts the major studios to shame for story telling and quality of acting. This yet another example of that quality. Well done.
ОтветитьI have a love/hate relationship with the Human Race.
ОтветитьAll in all it was an excellent effort ! Great graphics , great story line , great actors . I don’t like being left hanging , there needs to be more of an ending for me . I still liked it a lot , kudos to everyone involved !
ОтветитьIf I ignore all the wrong visuals, like stuff falling on the floor when she blasted off toward the moon where the radio signals came from, it's a good drama. I also like the retro look of all the equipment. A kind of airliner/space ship amalgamation. Good story telling.
ОтветитьI love that G2 gel pens have made it this far into the future. 😄. Totally believable (seriously).
ОтветитьI really appreciate how Viviana Chavez's performance is so organic and human instead of an overplayed caricature like so many others in this genre. Especially in short films. Even her bit part in The Accountant is noteworthy.
ОтветитьWtf? It literally said "fleeing from tyranny". What does she mean by "we struggled without you"? What does she mean by "why did you leave?"? They fled from tyranny. So I thought those people escaped from Earth. Now she says they were left behind. This makes no sense at all.
ОтветитьExtremely watchable and thought provoking. Mainstream syfy is mostly mindless visuals. Thank you.
ОтветитьI have watched a lot of these, only one of them wasn't boring and depressing.
Ответитьthe story is well told. i appreciated everything about it except the lack of final resolution. i understand that such is the point of this endeavor, but i always prefer stories that answer their internal questions.
bottom line: good work!
Being able to say sorry and justify It was not my fault. It's not!
ОтветитьAnyway ta from New Zealand
ОтветитьDang, they made it seem that the RV could be a space ship, yet not that bad.
ОтветитьShe keeps repeating, "I will find you." "I will find you no matter what." Which sound more like threats tbh.
ОтветитьWell done, very enjoyable.
Ответитьthe entourage of the spaceship turned out very beautiful. And in general the whole film turned out beautiful and stunning. I was also pleased with how you were able to show the gas giant and its exoplanets
ОтветитьSo wonderful...absolutely loved your movie
ОтветитьWell done! 👍👍
Ответитьwhy is the exit sign the only bilingual labeling on the whole ship?
ОтветитьBrilliant 👍.
ОтветитьThe Dude was not impressed…
ОтветитьWhat an intimate, provocative film. Beautifully done!!!
ОтветитьVery well done. Very engrossing story👍💪💯
ОтветитьAnother metaphor for modern relationships in a culture without direction.
ОтветитьI like the anticipation
ОтветитьWriter-director great movie
ОтветитьArtificial gravity means FTL drive. The ability to manipulate gravity means a very advanced civilization. Not talking about centrifugal designs
ОтветитьThis film makes me think of if aliens came here oh so long ago, populated earth, then their original species came as an ambassador to say, "wtf guys! No hard feelings, right?!"
We have that one in cold storage.
Allegedly.
Don't go back. The government just wants your tax money.
ОтветитьDon't alienate yourself from relationships.. there exist ways to make things work. Depression can be tough.
Ответитьخیلی خوب بود .... هم ایده و هم اجرا ❤
ОтветитьIncredible effects and such a touching story.
ОтветитьWow!!! You nailed it! Great actress!
ОтветитьGreat short, we need more details, a begging and a sort of an end. I'm still lost on what happened
ОтветитьTop quality production. I love science fiction shorts like these. Great job1
ОтветитьVery, very atmospheric film that was more about the search and what Liv was trying to do. The most important part: You never see the colonists. Are they even still human anymore? Over three generations, have they become hardened, radicallised? Or maybe, away from Earth and its petty divisions, have they found enlightenment (which, in a way, would make them even more dangerous)? Or will Liv only find a derelict filled only with automatons and ghosts?
A very good piece of work. You never see the climactic meeting but that's the point, isn't it?
Very enjoyable short. Very well done! Wish there was a part 2/ or sequel. Or a movie! 🎥 Thanks.
ОтветитьLaika? Seriously?
ОтветитьI've only ever seen one other person pilot a space RV that well: Lonestar and his trusty companion Baaaaarrrf.
ОтветитьMostly all films no longer done in Hollywood are the best films now in my own personal opinion .
Ответить🥱
ОтветитьExcellent story. World class writing and movie making. Masterful spaceship set design. Love the vintage oscilloscopes and test equipment. Excellent acting. This 65 year old science fiction lover and retired physicist loved the movie. You should be proud of your achievment.
ОтветитьEverything in this feels like a pilot and not like a short film.
ОтветитьHey everyone, thanks for watching! I am the writer, director of The Emissary and the guy crazy enough to build the space ship set in my parent's basement. Filmmakers love feedback, so let me know what you thought of our film, or if you've got any questions!
