The Most Comfortable Daily Shoe EVER? (New Balance 1080 v14 Honest Review)

I absolutely loved the softness of 13. Was nice for the end of the week when the mileage was taking its toll on my legs.

i've been looking at the 1080 for a couple of years but never pulled the trigger. i just did last night on the 1080 V14. I work retail and plan on using these as my work shoe. I have a ton of comfort shoes including the NB More Trail V3 which are great. i look forward to wearing these when i get them on Sunday.

I've returned these after 1 run - my feet were boiling, and I found them clunky underfoot - personal preference though

Undecided on More vs 1080. I'm currently using 1080v12 and More v3 and have a few spares so I won't have to decide until next summer.

I sure do miss the New Balance Beacon ... wonder whats on the market with that feeling

I’m looking for a shoe that I can wear all day to work and to the gym, maybe sometimes for jogging as well. I’m deciding whether I should get the NB 1080 v14 or Asics Novablast 4, any suggestions please?

Which ones are better for wearing all day and long fast walks. V13, v14 or more v5? Can't run right now gitna new knee I'm working with.

The v11 was always my favourite…

No mention of the drop reduction the last 2 models,used to love these but no more ,will shred my achilles.

Loved V13 super comfy but able to go fast as well. V14 seems to have scaled back on both fronts. Off to check internet for any remaining 13s out there.

With the increased price here in Australia, it's hard to pick 1080v14 over Balos, which is still soft but bouncier and more fun to run in.
But no one seems to talk about that shoe anymore.

It’s just too expensive, this should be £120 imo. £160 is obscene, that should be a supershoe price range.

What are your thoughts on the ASICS cumulus 26?

There are many, many better shoes than this one.

Currently using the Asics Gel Cumulus 26 for all my runs (first pair of running shoes). Any recommendations for my next pair?

I have worn the 1080v13 more than any other shoe this year, but I have not been running much in the. Agree they are a bit too soft for running, but great for casual and walking.
I'm running more in the More v5, but also wearing that casual. Also have the Balos which beats both of those for running, but I wouldn't really wear casual.
So if it were me I'd skip the 1080v14 and get the Balos if running is the main use, but go 1080 if you want to wear casually.

I love my 1080s. I did Chicago in them.

Rather pay more and try the Balos. I already have the Novablast 3, Rebel v3 and the 880 v12 Goretex as daily trainers.

Still on 1080 v12's (stocked up given the v13 reviews) but they're close to needing replacing.
Given I use them for faster 5K's as well as longer runs, it sounds like I may need to look at Asics then.

Have the shoe since two weeks and i absolutly love it for my daily training. For me in the meantime one of the best daily trainers out there. :)

Waaaaah, I loved the v.13. So a version that is heavier and firmer is out for me. Maybe the Balos of the More v.5. We shall see.

I love my Novablast 4. Anything over 10k I use the Supers, which are wonderful.

V13 is awesome ot has same foam as the more V5

1080v14 has new slightly stiffer foam, because peeps be complaining that its too soft... which means weight increase... Good job.
