In my understanding of scripture, as per the Abrahamic covenant that one for the promised children physically, God gave Law through Moses. That continues till the end of Millennium. The new life through Lord Jesus Christ revealed in Ezekiel 36th chapter that Lord Jesus Christ explained to Nicodemus as new birth into the Kingdom of God and into the family of God, both Jews and Gentiles together. Here we need to understand our relationship with Lord Jesus Christ is Bride and Groom. Where as Lord Jesus Christ and Israel is “Friendship” as expressed by the John the baptist. I understand the covenant and promises given to Israel continues till the end of Millennium. The sacrifices in Millennium Temple might be the expressive symbols of their Messiah’s sacrifice on the Cross, as they see the one whom they pierced and lament in repentance. What a wonderful scene it would be with the people on earth, having physical bodies, glorified bodies ( Church Saints ) Lord Jesus Christ Him self reigning the world in righteousness. All glory to God the Father through Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Great teaching Levi, thank you. I read Ezekiel 40-43 this morning and was wondering exactly why the sacrifice was reinstated despite Jesus completed work on the cross. Great insights and response to these questions.

This dispensational interpretation is inconsistent with the writings of the Book of Hebrews regarding the temple and blood sacrifices. Christians are the temple where Christ's Spirit dwells (1 Cor 3:16-17), and Christ's one and only sacrifice is sufficient for all time (Heb 7:27); therefore, Ezekiel's writings must be spiritualized.

Why Ezekiel Temple has No Roof?

So everyone’s in agreement that we are all just going to ignore the Torah, and cling to hebrews. It clearly says sacrifice for sin. Period. So who’s wrong?

Nehemia and Ezra did not build any temple but lived decades after its completion und Zerubbabel and Joshua.

The animal sacrifices still makes little sence in this. In my experience, once we begin with escatology, things start to unravel...

Being Jewish, you are very close to the interpretation about holiness. For example, a woman becomes unholy due to her menstrual cycle or giving birth to a child; therefore, she needs to make a sacrifice to remove the impurity of blood, if she desires to come before the presence of The Almighty. Thus, the sacrificial system of the sin offering, is also called the purification offering. If anyone comes and touches the holy vessels or building of The Almighty in an impure/unholy state His holiness will kill that individual. So Ezekiel's temple will have nothing to do with the making atonement for grievous sins but for impurity. Remember, even a man becomes impure when he has relations with his wife. This is why studying the Torah is so important to correctly interpret scripture. Blessings be upon you! Last, the only reason these offerings are necessary is because a physical Temple has been built and accepted by the Most High. In New Testament times, the Temple was rejected after the final atonement of Messiah.

Yeshua Jeasus was sent for salvation because no one was listening to his word ! That does not mean that the rest of this word is not true!

Jesus fulfilled all types and shadows he is the Lamb of God! There is not purpose for a 3rd Temple. There will be no 3rd temple as this teacher is declaring! Daniel has been fulfilled in 167 AD. Daniel is referring to the 2nd Temple that was built and destroyed again in 70 AD by Titus and his army.

A Seven Year Jewish Tribulation & the Abomination of Desolation

Antiochus IV (Epiphanes), the king of Syria, captured Jerusalem in 167 BC and desecrated the Temple by offering the sacrifice of a pig on an altar to Zeus. (Abomination of Desolation) spoken by the Prophet Daniel, chapters 8,9 has taken place.

He outlawed Jewish religious rites and traditions and the Temple in Jerusalem was changed to a syncretic Greek-Jewish cult that included worship of Zeus. This all happened approximately 168 years before the birth of Jesus
4-6 BC.

Antiochus Epiphanes was noted for his persecution of the Jews during the intertestamental period. He murdered over 40,000 of them in three days, he plundered their temple in Jerusalem, and he defiled it with unclean animals and the construction of a pagan altar.

And 1Timothy 2:5 explains 5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus... This is Jesus job as our eternal high priest... Y'all should probably read and understand what the Levite priest jobs were so you can understand what our jobs will be in the new kingdom of God, and what Jesus' job is right now as our eternal high priest 🙂

The Old Testament was fulfilled in JESUS. That is blasphemous to shift everything over to God’s creatures, rather than God himself. What do you actually believe Jesus did? Becsuse it seems like he came but nothing much happened, then he has to come back and complete everything he came to do, even thought he said ‘It is finished’ before he took his last breath.

Wait-the Holy Spirit has been poured out on all Christians. Are you saying he will be confined in the temple as he was in the Old Covenant? Doesn’t this violate Hebrews which tells us that the Old Covenant is not gone away?
And wow, you deny that the promises of the Davidic throne were fulfilled in Jesus?

Not everyone who believes in a literal/physical/earthly fulfillment of Ezekiel 40–48 is a dispensationalist! I'm not a dispensationalist (I believe that the Church and Israel are the same entity, that the Mosaic Law is applicable to Christians, and that the Rapture and the Second Coming are one and the same), but I most assuredly believe that there will be a physical Third Temple during the Tribulation and the Millennium. I disagree with dispensationalists on a lot of things, but I see eye to eye with them on this subject.

The animal sacrifices that will occur during the Millennium aren't a memorial of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. We already have a memorial of Christ's sacrifice in the form of Communion! Rather, the animal sacrifices will be performed for ritual purity purposes. The priests of the reinstated Levitical priesthood will need to undergo ritual purification before working in the Temple. Also, I like the idea that the animal sacrifices are performed so as to avert the wrath of God against nonbelievers.

We Jews know that Hashem has never changed his promises given to our forefathers. Don't you read in your book spoken about this? Romans 9:4? It was just a reminder from Paul. We are the temple of Hashem. His Holy Spirit dwells on his holy ones. The third temple would be built for a different purpose. God did not want a temple but king David is the one who insisted to build one for Hashem. Ask yourself why would God reject this idea of king David???? Ezekiel's Vision Temple will be built about three miles outside the City, and the City is not going to be Jerusalem. There are clues in the Bible regarding the Temple that God showed Ezekiel, and we can find these clues as far back as Genesis 49:10. In Ezekiel's Vision Temple, there are many differences from any other Temple described in scriptures. I will list a few of those differences.
1. There is no wall or partition to separate the Court of the Gentiles from the Jews.
2. There is no Court of the Women. Women and men are equal together in the Outer Court, though there is an Inner Court for the Priests.
3. There is no laver for ritual washing. Those who enter, and their sacrifices, will be clean already.
4. There is no Menorah aka Lampstand. The Lord will light this Temple.
5. There is no table of shewbread.
6. There is no golden altar of incense, neither any gold anything mentioned in the construction and fixtures of Ezekiel's Vision Temple.
7. There is no veil, which shows beyond dispute that Ezekiel's Vision Temple is not according to Old Testament Law.
8. There is no Ark of the Covenant anymore, so this Temple that Ezekiel saw is in a time after God has fulfilled Jeremiah 31:33.
9. There are no feasts mentioned, other than Passover and the feast of Tabernacles.
10. There is no evening oblation, only the morning oblation, which has been changed a bit, from a tenth to a sixth, regarding meal and oil.

I take it as hymns of praise that we read as sacrifices. It's a matter of relevance in translation. Memorial sacrifices are not found anywhere else. It ought be mentioned twice to be fully valid. Consider them as praise offerings in the form of hymns sung.

Tell me more about it. The only problem with it is the animal sacrifices. But, big big temples will have to be built. The Lord God Himself will do it by the involvement by many.

The Spirit of Prophecy speaks Ezekiel 21: 1-3 = Ecclesiastes 1: 9. War will come first before the true glorious temple Come.

Question: why are there animal sacrifices in Ezekiel’s temple when Jesus was already the once for all sacrifice? Help please.

I personally would rather eat meat sacrificed in my Fathers house than at the factory farms we have today. Sacrifices are eaten not just wasted.
Just imagine this beautiful temple! A river will come from it, teeming from life! There will be farming all around it! It will be the best place to come and be and eat and feast and be together. Hallelujah Jesus!

Daniel 9:27 is clearly speaking of the 2nd temple, which had not yet been built in his days. There is absolutely no connection of Daniel 9:27 to a third yet unbuilt temple. Additionally, it should be noted that Daniel's timeline for his prophecy in Dan. 9 is only 490 years and that timeline began shortly after Daniel's own day and finished sometime in the first century BC or first century AD.

Ezekiel 43:18-19 states clearly that Ezekiel was the first to offer a bull for a sin offering on the day that the altar of this temple was built. He is now dead so this limits the timing of the fulfillment of this prophecy to Ezekiel's own days. In other words, he could only be referring to the 2nd temple and no other.

Interesting theory about the sacrifices during the Mk. Because men have until their 100th birthday to accept Yeshua’s sacrifice for their own salvation. Also the world will be led by a monarchy of Yeshua as king so these sacrifices will be part of MK Law in my assessment. It is hard to speculate. Thus Ryrie and his protege Dr Fruchtenbaum haven’t gone beyond the MK Temple’s sacrificial program as being in some fashion a memorial system which undoubtedly it will be.
I like the channel here as the church age has degraded rapidly away from sound doctrine and theology. Keep building with eternal materials that endure into the coming of Messiah guys.

This temple was built. It was the temple which the exiles built in the 6th century BC when they returned from Babylon.

Zechariah also weighs in on this and tells us that animal sacrifices will return. While I shudder why, I've learnt to leave certain things to the wisdom of God. Trying to understand and explain everything can cause confusion and bring greater misunderstanding. However, I've held sacrifices are a memorial to us all, just as Jesus maintained scars on His sides lest we forget that yesterday when He took our penalty at Calvary.

Great teaching here. About this temple it is the latest eschatological truth I've learnt. I have been taught about the millennium for ove two decades but all along this was not mentioned. This was unknown to them.
