great video but the only thing id do different is having slightly stickier braid like power pro or something of a little less quality just so the stop doesn't slide on its own.
ОтветитьCan you put up a description of the setup. Hook, then weight etc... Great video. I agree on the pre setup if you don’t do it it won’t happen.
ОтветитьGreat tip Brett !!👊🏼 thanks 😎
ОтветитьI like your instruction your giving . I never fish with slip bobbers and here on the St-Lawrence River in Ontario the current is pretty strong , meaning the drifting is fast . Any tips how to slip bobber in fast drifting ?
ОтветитьI love using Berkeley tracer line for this! Makes adjusting your bobber stop much easier!
ОтветитьWhat is depth you set your bobber stop at if you are reading 20’ where you mark your fish and want to cast? Do you set it slightly above, right at depth, or add a foot or 2? Does this work in the big rivers in current?
ОтветитьHey Brett I watch that video about five times now, I really like it!!! That voice you dubbed in when you were measuring the arms length really made me laugh 🤣but seriously you do a great job at explaining the whole process and the more I watch it the better I understand that. Great tutorial. After watching in five times I'm picking up all the little subtleties of what you were talking about and teaching us guys. Thanks once again Brett, I really enjoyed it come I'm putting it in the archives.
ОтветитьI went out and got as close to the exact set up you talked about that i could find and we tried it out last weekend....took the kiddos out and it wasnt a lake dominant with walleye but lots of small mouth and pike and it was awesome! Cant wait to give it a world on some wallys this weekend! Perfect set up for slip bobber fishing
ОтветитьIs there a reason no one who is doing fishing shows keeps any of the fish the catch.
?
Fantastic information!
ОтветитьCan’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos! I referred back to them many time out on Whitefish Chain as I’m pulling my hair out!
ОтветитьThank you very much. Great Information
ОтветитьYou always make perfect since when explaining your tactics....spot on ! Awesome!
...prentstion.. every time!
Brett where are you from ? Are you from Michigan?
ОтветитьThanks for the fast answer to where you live . I wish I could be with you to learn how to fish for Walleye’s . I have 255S crest liner that making into part time fishing boat . Oh I love your videos, more please thanks .
ОтветитьGreat info thanks, keep up the great work
ОтветитьFantastic
ОтветитьAwesome tips on slipbobber fishing!
ОтветитьThanks
Great info
Great video man!
ОтветитьGreat video ! I’m in arkansas , any tips for crawlers and slip bobbers ? Can’t find leeches . Can’t keep the bluegills off the crawlers . Half crawler ? Thx !
ОтветитьGreat informative video.
Ответитьwhat were those fancy bands you had on your spools of line?
ОтветитьWatched a lot of videos on slip bobber walleye.. this is the one that got saved and footnotes added. Learned a lot here - your setup makes sense Thank you from northern wisconin!
ОтветитьDo leaches work for walleyes even if there’s no leaches in that lake? Or is that when you rule them out?
ОтветитьJust bought that same reel for my Christmas cabella shopping spree ! Freaking love it on my 7.6 vendetta 30.ton ! Can't wait to try the slip bobb method! Haven't tried it yet just jiggn so far .thanks dude!
ОтветитьI use a steel sinker so it doesn't mash up on the ends like lead does
ОтветитьI am going to try plastic leeches on a slip bobber. I have seen some videos where people use a single hook but hook through the thin part of the leech rather than the fat part. Any thoughts? Thanks....great video.
ОтветитьExcellent tactics!! You explained it perfectly and gave out some tactics that I never thought about. You gained a new fan and subscriber.
ОтветитьHave you thought about using rubber bobber stops?
ОтветитьBrett, great video, lots of tips and tricks. You did an excellent job going into great detail. My? Question is when you say you use 8lb Suffix 832 do you mean 8 pound mono equivalent or 8lb Braid? I believe 8lb Braid is 3lb mono equivalent, and that would cause the slip knot more likely to slide cause it's too thin to bite into the Braid. Thanks
ОтветитьYou are a great presentation😂
ОтветитьWhy can't I use big blood suckers instead of leeches ? What is the thing about leeches only ?Aren't they the same ! I was at a beech this spring and could have picked up a lot of them .Don't walleye eat them too ?
ОтветитьGreat tips! I really appreciate them
ОтветитьAwesome video young man!
ОтветитьI've always wondered what a solution for floats laying flat (when properly weighted) was. I never considered the inside of the float being a key point to ensure the line drops down properly. The brass is a heck of a tip!
ОтветитьGreat info! Thanks so much
ОтветитьInstead of a split shot I prefer several 6 ounce eggs sinkers. It's won me a ton of tournaments...
ОтветитьSubscribed , I just learned a handful of tricks that otherwise I would have never known. That ChapStick example was spot on man!!!! Great information and very nicely done sir!!!
I've been using the slip rig here in southern Colorado for over 10 years, it truly is an effective method to get the bait in front of the walleye.
When you are on the search for fish. Do you stick to a certain speed? If so what would be the best speed to help with accuracy when dropping that bobber in the water ?
ОтветитьGot my 30 incher on a slip Bobber same setup!!
I really like your information on different techniques thank you!!
Do you have an aerator hooked up to that leach cooler? Did you drill a hole in the top for the hose? Great video by the way!
Ответитьi very appreciate your video, simple explanation it"s all we need. Keep it up
ОтветитьDoesn’t the chapstick make the bobber stop loose on the braided line?
ОтветитьAwesome tips thx
ОтветитьWhts secret to deep water slip bobber walleyes 30 ft n deeper
ОтветитьUp untill a couple years ago all I ever did was artificial lures and dead minnows on a jig (live minnows are illegal here). Used some worms on a bottom bouncer a few times over the last few years. Next season I am going to try and do a lot more rigging and slip bobbers with live bait. Used them a couple times as a little kid but avoided bobbers thinking it was boring for a long time and ended up using them for bluegill and actually had a blast.
ОтветитьDoes nightcrawlers work as well?
ОтветитьThis is a great video
