Listening to Museums: An Educational Course by The Museum of Portable Sound

The Museum of Portable Sound Education Department offers classes that mix sound studies and museology to explore museums through sound! Our first course, Listening to Museums, combines outside reading assignments with three site visits to some of London's most amazing museums. Learn how to soundwalk a gallery, how to make a map of the sounds you hear, how to 'play' a gallery space, how to make paintings come alive via the process of phonomnesis – even make your own conceptual mixtape of museum sounds! Our first section of Listening to Museums met January - March 2017, with another section to be announced soon. Don't miss out on this unique multisensory experience!
