Retro51 Buzz Fountain Pen Review

New Jersey has one of the highest concentrations of black bears per capita.

Beehives! I wasn't expecting that. Kudos to you for supporting a vital part of our ecosystem.

I have many of their ballpoints. The Buzz is one of them. My latest is the Pan Am which is amazing if you are an airliner enthusiast like I am.

Such a great pen - I love mine. I gave the Rollerball to a friend who has/had a beehive - bummer though... Last year he got stung a few times and unfortunately ended up getting an anaphylactic reaction to it. Luckily he had a friend visiting with an Epi- pen as he was in northern Vermont, far from a hospital - VERY lucky guy. Had to give the hive to another friend nearby so he can still get some of the great honey though!

What a nice pen, I love the translucent bear on the finial. You should have used KWZ Honey to ink it up! 😀

I have never considered a Retro 51 fountain pen. I have a few Tornadoes from the original iteration of the company. Back them they did introduce a fountain pen and I found it lacking in almost every aspect.

That being said, this pen now intrigues me. Perhaps not the bees but if the quality in this pen is an example, I should consider getting one.
