google domains gone
Doesn’t work
ОтветитьWhat a professional email domain 🙌
ОтветитьSaid for free but not 😂 click bait
ОтветитьFOR NEW PEOPLE:
This still works, but Google domains is no longer a possible domain provider. You will need to figure out how to create an email forwarder on whatever domain provider you find/use (which should be easy), but after that, the only other step that needs to be changed now is explained in the pinned comments. If you cant find the app passwords thing like me, just search for "google app passwords" and click the link directly to it. I personally used Porkbun to purchase my domain, which made this process as easy as could be and was super cheap. Also note that you can't immediately do this with a domain purchased, because the domain needs to be circulated throughout the entire DNS of the internet first, so you may have to wait up to 48 hours before an email being sent to the domain email will work.
but google domains doesn't exists anymore...
ОтветитьI can’t get the following steps to work. Anyone had any joy in getting this working recently?
ОтветитьTHATS NOT FREE THATs like say you just have to pay 100 $ then ists free
ОтветитьHello creator which app you use to set up the Google business email address
ОтветитьHello Stewart! I have to revive this thread 😁my alias stop working since the google domain was transfered to squarespace. I can receive emails, they are being foward to my main address but I can not send using the alias address. I tried everything and found a picture of this video that help me awhile ago (thank you so much) ... but now it seems like nothing else here works. Can you please enlighten me... Thank you so much for all you do.
ОтветитьHello @stewartgauld any update video of this?
ОтветитьThank you so much bro, figured it out for late 2024! Super useful.
ОтветитьHey it says google domains no longer offers domain registrations, and now we have to use squarespace
ОтветитьIs there a difference with the g-suite? i'm paying like $14/month -- not sure what i'm gaining if I can do it this way for just the domain annual fee
Ответитьit takes me to change password, is there a new thing on this that i miss?
Ответитьhow is it free when you have to buy the custom domain
ОтветитьCan businesses use the alias email to find the one behind the alias? Lol just wondering because I want to create the alias but the email behind it sounds silly
ОтветитьHey Stewart, kindly make an updated 2024 version on this video. It's amazing 👏
ОтветитьWhat if it doesn't show the less secure app access?
ОтветитьIs it posible that google domains doesn't exist anymore? Now it is Squarespace?
ОтветитьThanks a lot❤❤
ОтветитьWhat if I purchased a domain through a different third party? I’m so confused!
ОтветитьHi great video BTW I'm wondering if you know why I recieve emails via wix from my wix Website but 80% of my customers don't recieve my replies, they it goes to junk mail? So frustrating 😪😪😪😪
ОтветитьI just wanna say, this still works. Great video, thank you so much for making this. Saved me tons of money and kept my business look professional and safe for my costumers.
ОтветитьDoes it work if you have bought a domain name from go daddy?
ОтветитьHi, I followed this process last year and added my business email. Now that Google domains were bought by squarespace I’m not able to receive email on my business email. When I go into squarespace dashboard and go down to email, it says “Action required, Your domain is using custom nameservers and has email forwarding rules Denied.
Ответитьthis is NOT true, it is NOT free, you will need to have a subscription for the google workspace; it has taken me 3 days scouring the internet to find the details for the TXT and MX DNS records for my gmail account and this is not possible if you do not have the google workspace subscription. I will be delighted to learn otherwise.
ОтветитьWhat if we add employees, can we create an email for them but have the email go to their original Gmail address? Or would they only go to my Gmail since I’m the one who created it ?
ОтветитьOnce set up, can you use on outlook?
ОтветитьHhhhh😂 free and you clicked buy 😂😂😂
ОтветитьGoogle domains no longer exist you gotta use squarespace now
ОтветитьAlso google discontinued less secure apps so this method can't be used
ОтветитьPossible 2025?
Ответитьi cant find the google domains can please share the link of site that you use here in the video
ОтветитьIf you are having trouble finding app passwords in your account settings, use the search bar on the top and type in "app passwords"
ОтветитьHow do I get my email to start receiving outgoing and incoming mail… I’m paying monthly but my email only sends it doesn’t receive incoming mail…
ОтветитьYou are amazing. This is simply so economical for small business
ОтветитьHi All, is there a 2024 update? These steps are not working
ОтветитьHow will this affect google calendar and drive space. If one books an appointment will the invite go with your personal email or your business email? and as far as adding space to the business email, will this reflect on the personal one? Just trying to make a decision whether I should just open a completely different Gmail business account or go with this method. I really liked this video, by the way!
ОтветитьGod bless you for sharing this video. My question is: I have a domain, and i dont use it. However, I use the email linked to domain and had biught gsuit a while ago now it got tranafered to squarespace and they are charging me $16 every month. How can I avoid paying squarespace and still maintain my domain email? Because I use zoom and fathom through domain email and have bought a course through domain email, so I believe I need domain email, inless to have a suggestion for me? Any help would be appreciated. TIA 🙏
I am really trying to save $16/month
I thought you said it was for free
ОтветитьYou said it’s free,confusing!!
Ответитьvery free lol
ОтветитьI tried and it is sending me to another website.
Ответитьif you buy it it is not three
ОтветитьThanks 🎉🎉🎉😊
ОтветитьIMPORTANT UPDATE: less secure app option is no longer available.
See the following steps:
Instead of turning on the "Less secure app address" (no longer available from the 30th May 2022) you need to generate a password for an app.
1. Go to ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Security’
2. Go down to ‘Signing in to Google’ and choose the ‘App password’
3. Select ‘Mail’ as the app and set ‘Other’ as the device
4. Insert the email address that you're using (not the alias that you want to set up) and then copy the generated password
5. Use the email username (without @gmail.com) and the generated password on the second step of the video (under SMTP server bar)
Everything else is the same as explained in the video.
