Guitarist, composer, artiste and educator Dean Williams began his journey in music at the Hillview College high school in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. There he began playing all instruments in the school band – drums, bass, keyboards, trumpet, double bass and the guitar.
Dean has proven his dexterity in multiple genres – Pop, Jazz, R&B, Calypso, Soca, World Beat, Rapso, Gospel Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Calypso Jazz, Rock/Blues, Classical and Folk music. His playing has enhanced the music of top-tier of Trinidad artistes: Lord Kitchener, Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Machel Montano, Destra, Atlantik, Xtatik, 3Canal, Kindred, Ray Holman, David Rudder, BP Renegades, Ras Shorty I and the Love Circle, Isaac Blackman, Michael and David Boothman, Clive Zanda.
His musicality has also graced the recordings and performances of International artistes Shaggy, Wyclef Jean, Sean Paul, Vashawn Mitchell, Luther Francois, Ronald Boo Hinkson, Michele Henderson, Etienne Charles, Larnell Lewis (Snarky Puppy), Jonathan Scales, and Leon Foster Thomas.
