Mais, au fur et à mesure qu’on avance dans ce livre étrange grandit un personnage dont la détermination, peu à peu, nous perturbe. Car on ne peut décrypter l’enfance d’Hitler sans imaginer son avenir, sa puissance destructrice, la fascination qu’il exercera sur une grande part de son peuple, lui qui est si peu fascinant. Et c’est tout le talent de Michel Folco que de se glisser dans cet interstice : pourquoi le plus ordinaire des hommes en lui recèle-t-il Hitler
